I only rode like 4-5 times and only once on a wakeboard boat w/ tower. Let me tell ya the first time I had to cross the wake, I found it pretty high lol. Anyways, I can do 180 on surface and ride switch. I also jump w2w doing a really cheesy grab for 0.05 second which is more like tapping the board.

Now I just bought a wakeboard last week. My question is, there is a cable park near my place, about 20 minutes. I was wondering if I should keep practicing behind a boat before going there? If not, I wanted to know what to do when I hit a kicker for my first time. Should I just ride on it and not do anything with my legs or pop it? And same question for rails, should I wait a little before doing rails and if so, how long, etc.

Help a newbie here thanks!

yeah... some people dont take easily to cable park riding at first... like me... but if you've only ridden 4-5 times my opinion is that you should definately get a little more comftorable with wakeboarding before you attempt to hit any rails or kickers. It's alot different than just waking it up. If you do decide to hit them... be sure that you cut out before you hit it and that you hit it straight on and not on one of your edges... because if you hit it while you are still cutting in .... it will be bad news

it really depends on what kind of ramp it is. If it is just a constant incline slope up... you get a reasonable amount of height... but the ones with increasing inclines... the quarter pipe ones... give you way more pop. So be ready.. lol.
