Anyone know much about kove audio

Getting my stereo planned out for my boat due in the next few weeks. The stereo shop is suggesting Kove Audio for the 6 6.5's in the tower and a Kove audio 12 inch sub. I am relatively edumacated on stereo equipment, but have had no experience with Kove. They will be powered by 1 500 watt soundstream amp to the sub, and 1 600 watt soundstream amp to the 6 on the tower and 4 in the boat. Info on the amps would be appreciated (Sp?) also. I know they have been around, but I have never really heard them. My crew and I are Rockford junkies. I have the option to upgrade to JL or Arc Audio amps, but the dealer suggested that it probably isn't worth it on a boat because of the open air. He has been dealing with boats for 6 years now and he seems to know what he is talking about. Hey stereo guru's tell me what you think.

first of all, how much for the kove? i notice alot of times, no matter how good of a friend u are with the audio guy, finding the speakers online and taking them to him to install ends up being cheaper.

Kove are good speakers, and i have heard some of their components, i would look into some other speakers, but that all depends how much the kove go for... look into some CDTs or Infinity Kappas.
As for your amps, SS is awsome, Arc audio is awsome, and JL is great, i dont like jl, but thats just me, see which model of each amp you coudl get, and how much RMS they put out and the rest of the spec. if u find the model numbers i coudl help u out.

The dealer is also a factory authorized dealer and the speakers come with a three year warranty as well.

have them in my truck 4 6.5 I think, great sound dont even have them run by amps and they sound bad ass, be interested to know how they hold up in your boat been contemplating putting some in my X-9

Kove is good stuff way better than Infinity kappas. Soundstream amps are great, good sound quality, if you want to upgrade ARC is the stuff but i doubt I'd put it in a boat. You have to many other things to worry about in a boat to spend that much money on a SQ amp like ARC.

Dude I have a friend at my school who has 4 cove 12's and when he pulls up to the parking lot, he litterly shacks the whole back hall!!! They are some of the best speakers out there! Also audiobahn subs kick ass! I have six MTX 8,000 serious 10's in my truck and 3 in my super air and they bump!

Thanks guys on the prices. I found the amps for about 250 less all together, but he is cutting me a deal for about 100 all together on the speakers. I'll bring him the print out and see if he gives me a lower price.
