ok ive just started wakeboarding, only been out 2 or 3 times. ive been snowboarding for a while and was wondering how similar is carving (if thats the correct word for it) on a wakeboard to carving on a snowboard? should u raise your heels/toes to get on edge or jus lean into it??

thanks

snowboard = carving , wakeboard = edging

look up progressive edging, that will help you learn to cut hard, then just reverse it when you get near the wake or wherever you want to cut back.

Never been snowboarding, but if you're asking about the mechanics of it, I'd say it's more leaning than using your feet. My best advice would be to just play with it in the water and feel what's comfortable. And I second looking into progressive edging.
