hey dragon, i didnt mean any offense by my statement.
thats sweet that your in rally. do you drive? navigate? or are you on the team?
what do you drive?
and was i incorrect in my statement about the cars needing to be street liscenced, that was my understanding, but i could be wrong.
again, i didnt mean to rip on you in any way. _________________ dream like you will live forever, but live like you will die today |

I die a little every time I see such eggregious apostrophe errors. You just took about 30 minutes off my lifespan, Wes. I hope you're satisfied.
Why you wanna do me like that? |

wakebrdr190, sorry, i didnt mean to get all defensive. any ways im kinda the wash boy, im working my way up, being that im 14 there no chance that i could drive yet damn SCCA rules!! any way our dirver and owner of the team is Scott Fuller, the co dirver is Jeff Call, my brother is the head mechanic. they are 2 VW F2 kit golfs , one is from austrillia and one was Allister McRae's car (98 BRC). they are wicked fast, each one putting out 250 hp. They added a tarmac rally, I think that we can win that event flat out, being that AWD isn't much of an advantage since our car is much lighter and has the same amount of Hp. the only advantage the open class cars will have is the start, but Scott is thinking about getting launch control so that would solve that problem. _________________ wakeboards

| im guessing that launch control is basically the same thing as a trans-brake. it lets you out a vehicle in gear at high rpms without appyling force to the tires until you let it go. good for cars with a high power band and a turbo so they dont have to wait on turbo-lag and their car to get into its power band. |

nope Lunch Controll is a device used on all of the works cars (subaru, mitsu exc exc...) it basicaly is a chip that revs the engine at maximum power, like in out cars probably around 6-7 grand, than the timer counts down you drop the clutch and your off hauling ass.
wes im not shure but it think for partialy right but lauch control revs the car at the highest power point for the start.
some thing else whe Audi used to race Group B rally (they kicked so much ass) they had an eletronic clutch so all you had to do was shift, it was crazy but thoes were the days before the sequential transmision. _________________ wakeboards

I'm still building the engine for it. It had a 302 in it when I took that pic. I hope to have it back on the road before the lakes warm up. I never have time for anything once my boat gets wet. Should run low 11's on pump gas, with the radials. |

Grace B I have the same car as You, mines green. I have it lowered 2.5 inches and have 17" Gunmetal Velox VX 8s on it, with some suspension mods. Although I like older hotrods and grew up around them i prefer my GSR. 130 mph stock at 30 miles to the gallon is hard to beat. And I like going fast everywhere just not down straight aways. _________________ Shane Cook
