| I was jacking around the other day and was able to hit 47mph on a wakeboard for like 30 seconds. I let go of the rope and probably went a hundred yards with no rope. Just curious if anyone has done anything that ridicilous on a wakeboard? Goodtimes |

i did the same thing a few years ago. it was about the same speed, 45 to 50 mph.
i didn't know my friend was going to drive that fast pretty soon we were doing full speed. i started to lose control and all of a sudden my board flip around to switch. so i was riding at 50 mph switch so i gave the signal to slow down. that was the last time i did that. it was pretty crazy. _________________ Minnesota Wake Bum |

WaKevin, holy crap! Now imagine this, as your board was going around to switch, Imagine you catch your front edge going 50! That faceplant seriously could kill you. I shudder thinking about it.
The fastest I have gone on a wakeboard is about 26. One time, me and 3 other people were piled on this tube and the driver floored it. When we hit 40, he pulled off the throttle fast enough where everybody except for me fell off of the front of the tube. It was shaweet. Then later we hit a double up going 30 and got about 10 feet of air but on the landing, we all bounced off. |

my friends dad is an amazing tube driver, he can make us almost go wake to wake, but we hit a giany triple up(like i said hes a good driver we got so high. we let go if we landed ouch we were going like 35 mph the landing hurt
ive never been fast on a wakeboard, but you go super fast round a turn, with a wakesurfer with a long rope
then let go(you go forever) one time we did that and he caught the wave again (we threw him the short rope _________________ 06' watson 138

| On a wakeboard I`ve gon as fast as however fast my boat goes which is 45-47. On a tube though my brother was whipping me around a turn at like 35 and I flipped and skipped off my back and did a barrel roll and kept going. |

I did 25mph on my wakesurfer at the normal surfing distance... it was crazy. I was riding in the trough before the wake even formed. It was perfectly flat back there. I held my breath just in case the carbon monoxide was too strong. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

ha my bro is a crazy tubing driver, we were doing rough water tubing in like 4 or 5 foot waves and he floored it in one direction and the boat and tube were getting air at differant times and the tube lost, the non-stretch rope tore the tube apart.
as for wakeboarding, most i did was like 35ish which is really fun but i wouldn't want to catch an edge
farthest i've gone is about 15-18 miles without stopping to go from our harbor to an island and back, across a shipping lane and a couple rediouclous ferry and tanker wakes - anyone else ever tried long distance wakeboarding? that stuff is tiring! |

| however fast it is that my boat goes, about 45-50.....Usually we do that if we feel like jammin to the other side of the lake, if it's choppy where we are. Haha, I have done bunny hop 180s that fast as well. fun stuff. |

my dad went into a turn and floored it while i was wakeskating, and i whipped out on my heelside edge. he kept coming around and hit the wake at full speed (liek made a double up) and i went straight over the wake and ate stuff _________________ my new signature |

the fast I've ever gone was last year and I hadn't been Wakeboarding but about two months at the time and it was behind a new Sea Ray 27' Sundancer with a 454 so we were probably going about 40 or so, it felt like I was going to raise up off the water and when I did crash I fell on my back and just kinda slid ontop of the water, My head didn't ever go under, LUCKY!!!!!
I was wondering has anybody ever tried wakeboarding at night? We have this master plan that we are going to buy a Butt-Load of Glo-Sticks and strap them all over me and the rope and wakeboard at night, we also have a spotlight ready in case I face plant hard and it knocks off all my glo-sticks..HAHA _________________ Holly Bay All The Way! |

Elevation, we do that, with a skate as well, but we are goig with a shorter rope so that we do't have to go so fast _________________ Keep Austin Weird |

| Zack_Attack, i know its illegal to wakeboard at after dusk and before dawn in NY, maybe the glow sticks will get you off teh hook, but its not a great idea. riding during dusk when its getting dark is fun as hell but i wouldn't want to be in the water at night, cover myself in glow sticks and splash around for a while, talk about shark bait |

Method9455, SHARK bait? Since when are there freshwater sharks?!
The law for Virginia is 30 mins before and after dawn/dusk. If you want to go beyond that legally, you need a private lake and probably some tower lights. |

I was up in Broken Bow Oklahoma (smoothest water in the country or atleast in the big 12) and I was tandoming with my 7yr. old sister (me on a wakeskate her on her board) and she did a TS half wake jump and fell and I grabbed her rope and my dad floored it and I jumped off my skate and bare shoe'd for about 2 feet. It was a blast dad said I went 50!! _________________ Kung Fu my @$$!!! Try karate chopping a bullet!!! |
