i have never tried wakeboarding but would love to try. i have done a lot of snowboarding and can't imagine i wouldn't be able to do it. however i know nothing about it. can some one help me out with info. on things like how to pick a length. i will be mostly on lake minnetonka and it can get rough, what would be the best. i pick up sports quick so i want an advanced board i can play with. i've never done aything but kneeboard and water skiing so whats the difference between wakebords and skateboards? someone please help me get off the land and in to some water!!!!!!!![color=red]
|

If you ride a snowboard goofy, then you'll ride a wakeboard goofy. For length of boards its something like this
100 or less lbs.=125cm or less
100-150 lbs=128-133cm
150-200 lbs= 133-139 cm
200+ lbs.=140 cm or more
www.wakeworld.com has a board wizard which will help you find a good board. |

smlparksguy133 those sizes seem a little small. Everyone tells me I should ride a 137 and I weigh 140-145.

| first of all the difference between a wakeboard and a skateboard is that a wakeboard doesnt have wheels, which im pretty sure youve already figured out. secondly your not strapped into a skateboard, which again im sure you know. anyways, you should pick up on it fairly fast if you snowboard and do other water sports, but dont expect to be a pro instantly. im not sure if going with the advanced board is the best plan but you can if you want to. i would say borrow a board from someone you know or if you cant then demo one or something and test it out. who knows you might not even like it. then you would not be cool |

| im 5'10" 145 and ride a subjeckt 137, size is mostly preference. wakeboards are symetrical, unlike snowboards. regular or goofy doesnt matter. |

thanks for the advice i'm not to worried about liking it or not i haven't found a water or snow sport i haven't liked yet ( as long as it has some speed and room to creativly freestyle) i'm sure i won't be an expert right away but i prefer to just put it on and go for it. nothg can be as bad as when i broke my sternum landing a jump on my snowboard. not my best landing. i was looking at the liquid force angel boards thinking about a 130 or little bigger. i am 5'4, 130lbs. i want some thing that will ride smooth that i can just go for it on. has anyone tried this board? |
