|
|
Okay so My buddys and I have came up with the idea that we are going to strap some glo-sticks on our vests and board and rope and hit the water one night this summer.
I was wondering if anyone has ever done this. Its dangerous but probably not as dangerous as it is for some of you guys because our lake is very deep and doesn't have any surprises on it, its small and not congested at all especially at night. |

| Ive rode many times at night. Usually use a spot light and tower lights so I can see, and make sure I have plenty of liquid encouragement. Also done step off barefooting (off platform) at night too thats pretty dangerous though. So i dont recomend that to anyone who isnt a professional or very experienced, like myself which is both. |

| I have done it once, it was a lot of fun. There was a full moon out that night and it was pretty bright so it was easy to see. Glow sticks are a good idea though. |

| Does anyone know the ticket price if you are busted by a warden? Some freinds and I are considering wakeboarding with glow sticks, but just curios how much a ticket would run if we were caught. |

Probably not over a hundred...its the DUI that you have to worry about.
All said and done a DUI in TN will run you close to $10,000.

| idk about where u guys ride but it wouldnt be very hard to spot a 22 foot boat with all the noise and lights so it would be pretty tricky to avaiod the law |

at night? no way.
the real hardcore people put the boards away at night, get hammered, then get in a tube, and try and stand up on a tube at 30+ mph. boarding after dark is for lame-o's!!
j/k night riding is nice. glow sticks yes, spotlight yes. removal of trunks,...while possible not recommended[shrinkage you know...]. |

jamesriver-rider, depends on the amount of cops on your lake. If your like me, I saw about 5 cops all last summer on a 44 mile lake. Do the math. The odds are slim. And our cops are stupid. They dont care what you do.
Also I recommend finding a cove with no houses. Lots of butt faces can call the cops on you. Then they'll show up...
And dont do it past 9 or 10, it gets quiet then and the old fogies go to sleep so they will get aggro if they see you and call the fuzz. |
