For all the pools and such that guys build to start on land for a slider over a land gap, such as that pool on the roof that shane hit that sick nose press down, how deep should the pool be? Is 1 foot enough? and how long? I am thinking up an idea for the lake this summer to make a little land gap, and i need to decide if it will be worth it to dig a big enough hole on the shore to board/skate through. thanks

Norcal_z71, 1 ft will be plenty you could go as low as 8 inches providing your not a fat ass on a small skate like me lol

5'9" 137, hehe i think ill be cool in 8" then. If i am digging this on shoreline that maybe 3 days previous had been underwater for over 6 months (resevoir, they drain the lake 6" or so each nite) would i still need to line the pool or would i be ok since the ground is super saturated anyway? I know it would soak up some, but refilling every now and then isnt too bad

Norcal_z71, I would line the pool.
The pool should be around 1 foot deep 4 feet wide and about 35 feet long.

I've ditchboarded in water no more than 2-3 inches deep. I would make it 6 inches though if I were going to build something

Kento911, That this is sick. I'm going to dig a ditch in the sand on the beach at my wakeboard club and make a pool slider into the lake. I also have a sick all natural land gap on my lake that I will be hitting up, will get pics and video. Cool
