How much weight is in a pro tour / or INT league boat?

I know this was asked before but I can'tr find it in the archives. Just wondering how much total with the ballast and the extra. Do they ride only with the stock? I would assume not, but I have no clue. I'm curious about the supra's and moomba's at the gravity games and also the nauty's at the van's triple crown, oh yeah and of course the bu's at the just ride series events.

Anybody know what the INT league boats use. I'm going to be entering in the midwest INT league and just want to get an idea of what's to come.

How the INT boats are weighted will vary depending on state and level. For novice and junior divisions we usually run the VLX and 210 without any ballast and 3 or 4 people. As the level of skill increases we add more ballast and in the case of the VLX the Wedge. We usually end up with full ballast, a sac in the bow and 12-14 people.

What I have seen at the INT events in ILL are wide varying amounts of ballast and or people. Ski Crave is right but it can vary from tournament to tournament and even boat to boat.

when i rode in the INT in texas they had that BU weighted to the max. We had the boat full of people, full ballast, sacs in the front and back. Pat (the owner of the boat) new how things should be done. but like everyone else has said, it does vary

At the aussie x games, new zealand x-games and moomba events we run standard ballast, after there are 3 judges 1 driver, rope dope and 2 camera men there is really no need. Plus the courses are usually tight and haveing to boat weighted makes it harder to drive. One other thing is that it also makes it quicker getting on the plane after a rider has a mid course fall.

I was thinking intermediate/advanced in the INT league. I guess that would have been helpful. Sorry. That's weird I thought there would have been some rules governing that in a sense. I know the boats are different at the stops so that makes it interesting as well. How are people able to adjust cause a bu's wake is totally different than a nauty's IMO. The launch and setup would vary for me. How bout you guys? Would it be awkward for you?

You guys allow that many people in the boats during competition? In the Kansas INT they keep the number down to only 3-5, mainly to keep people from trying to influence the judging during the event.

IT is very inconsistent

I would think things would be better with no spectators in the boats on the judges.
Bu I have seen them just announce HAY WHO WANTS TO RIDE IN THE BOAT

I used to see that, but Mike has straightened the show up here in Kansas. It could be quite an insurance fiasco if anything ever happened with all those people in the boat. I think it's best to keep it simple. Very Happy

I know the gravity games package for the SSV is a 800 pound sack in the front with 2x 600's next to the motor. I'm not sure if they add to that even more for the comp or not.

This infomation comes from Matt Brown at skiers choice, he weighted the boats for the gravity games last year.

The lsv (moomba) had (2) 600's in rear, 400 in ski locker, (2) 400's under front seats, and 6-10 people at any given time. Also they had the wake plate set on 25%. Since they weren't allowed to use it during the games.

He said the weight under the front seats was appoximate.

This is also what I run in my boat, pretty much. And it is awesome.
