Im lookin to get some air. How fast should the boat be pulling me? Are there any tips for how to maKe the boat produce bigger wake without spending a fortune?

Chances are that you are not getting air more due to technique than wake. Someone with great technique can get decent air off a small wake. Search around the forums to learn about a good progressive edge.

As far as speed. Most pull around 18-24mph (18 only if you don't have a lot of weight as more weight usually requires a faster speed to clean up the wake).

There are plenty cheap wake enhancing alternatives:
Fat Sacs
Bags of sand
Inviting the hot dog eating team along...

Anything that will add weight to the boat, period.
