Is drinking a sport? How about Bar hopping? I'm good at both those things.
Kyle- Is that a sport now? Is there a team I tryout for?
Turk- That's a great sport. Can get physical too... _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

I have this scene that runs through my head, that when I go into the bathroom at work and come out smelling like lotion......and, non-scented is the best to put on a healing tattoo. So, it comes in handy for 2 uses!

| ...the Boarders Paradise Circle Jerk Squad, captained by Kyle Wells, squeezed out of a slippery situation in their win over Nor*Cal's Water Polo Weenie Poppers. The WPWPs shot out to an embarrassingly quick lead, but it was apparent they had blown their wad and seemed to doze off as the BPCJS came back with a victorious splash at the climax of the event. |

For everyone out there who thinkse race car drivers are not athletes read this.
Back in the 90's they did a study of several Indy Car drivers, football players and NBA players. The end results were that the Indy Car drivers were better athletes than the others. Yes including the NBA players. The two drivers that were the best were Arie Luyendyk and Emerson Fittipaldi. They had a resting heart rate of 57 and 58 respectfully (awesome) They sustianed a heart beat of over 190 beats per minute for over three ours during the Indy 500. That would kill over 90 percent of the population. Not to mention the 4 plus g's they experiance 4 times per lap. Lets not forget if they hit the wall the average impact is over 60 g's. Just imagine someone slamming 60 times your own body weight against you. The record impact was over 120 g's. He lived.
Virtually every sport requires and athlete. It does not matter if it is golf, vollyeball,
hockey, baseball or racing.
Racing is a sport. Racing is the number 1 spectator sport in the world.
The most popular athlete in the world is F1 driver Micheal Shumacher. Prior to him it was Ayrton Senna. Most of the world does not know are care about Micheal Jordan or Tiger Woods. _________________ Founding Member of the Forearm Club of America!

If the rest of the world did not care about those 2 athletes than why does the rest of the world comes here to play the best sports... Think about it. People from all of the world come to the USA to play basketball, golf, baseball, and football. Soccer is about the only sport that as pro you have a higher quality of player involved overseas. If that were also true why do players like Micheal and Tiger get mobbed at public places overseas. Kobe had a huge group following him around china and japan and he does not have any where near the stature that MJ or Tiger have. _________________ "What do you mean you're done for the night...Insomnia doesn't even open until 4. | B-rad, like i said earlier i guess it depends on your deffintion of an athlete. Apparently your deffinition has to do with fame. Would it be accurate to say Larry Flint is a better athlete than Rusty Greer? I'm sure more people have heard of Larry and he gets recognized in public a lot more. |

Wes, fame has nothing to do with it. Devo said the most famous athlete in the world in micheal Shchumaker (sp?) who is a racer. And that the rest of the world do not know or care about the likes of MK or Tiger.... Sorry but that is WRONG. I was making my point about that, not about how fame makes you a better athlete. If that were true Anna K would be a helluva a lot better than samprass, the williams sisters, stefi G., and roddick. _________________ "What do you mean you're done for the night...Insomnia doesn't even open until 4. Nor*Cal, nice. Baseball is where it is at. It takes a true athlete to hit a 2 1/2" think ball curving at 90 mph. _________________

| I think we need a deffinition for athlete. If the skill of hitting a 2 1/2" thick baseball curving at 90 mph defines an athlete (which i'm not disagreeing with) then you could say that making a tough, timed bank, billiards shot takes a true athlete. (which im also not disagreeing with.) Personally I would say being an athlete requires good physical condition, mental condition, and talent for the specific sport the person is participating in. |
