| I just am just finishing a visit from OWC in Orlando, and returning back to Chattanooga, TN. Is there anything like this near Chattanooga, say within 4 hours away? |

| your joking about asking if they are expensive right? think about it man. most of them are man made lakes. all the cable, and poles, and all that. its tremendously expensive to build. |

I live in Canada, so I better know where Montreal is. I just forgot to put a "," between Canada and IN.
here lets try again. "I think there is only one in Canada, in Montreal." is that better? |

03Belmont, one million? thats not to bad, there is a ton of people in the Calgary that could afford that no problem.
We are suppose to have some sort of "resort" but no word has been mentioned at all since March last year. probably went down the drain. |

Add some millions on to that and that's about how much it costs. One million is WAY WAY WAY off _________________ H.B.A |

Well, I am very new to wakeboarding. I ride at Wolftever. I have only been out 2 times. I have ridden more at OWC than here, I just started at the very tail end of last year. |

03Belmont, ok but they have an artificial lake, two cables, and lights...
The cable and the structure costs about 230 thousand dollars (I think, maybe less). |

Okay, say it is 230K a cable....That is from Germany think of the dollar exchange rates now. That would be a little over 300K. Can you imagine how much insurance costs. Then permits, buildings, employess, utilities, building a lake, rental gear, computers, etc., etc, etc... _________________ H.B.A |

Hey guys, I know a potential investor for a local cable park. His family owns plenty of businesses in the Chattanooga area, and he is always looking to expand. Anyhow, I told him about OWC, and how there are only about 4 in the nation, and he was very interested. He wanted to see the website, and hear all about it.
What I am looking for is a real cost (not $96.5 mil). Also, does anyone know of any availble land?
Mind you, this is still in discussion, but this man has a knack for making things happen, and also a knack for turning a great profit.
Let me know... you can hit me up on Yahoo or AIM or email _________________ Be an organ donor! My father is alive today because of kind souls that donate life... |

Vampyre..... you live in Ooltewah right? Well haven't you noticed all that land that is over there by the US Express building. I remember they were thinking about putting a water park somewhere over there but it did not get off the ground. BTW who is the potential investor? PM me the name I might know this person.

Ok here we go..
Lets say
$300,000 for the cable... (set up)
$40,000 for
Land (21 acres)
$200,000 for offices and bathrooms, docks etc. sliders..
$150,000 for Permits, insurance, surveying, perk tests etc.
$200,000 for excavation of lake... etc
$100,000 for employess, utilities etc
We are at just under 1 million where am I wrong on my figures guys? And, yes I did call a friend who does excavation work for the lake price.

listen let me get realistic with you
there are alot of different types of costs involved in different regions of the country. some govermental (permits, land /water issues) and some enviromental (disturbing habitats/marshlands) and other factors you don't find out until you get involved. asking a person over the internet and saying no dude really, gets you know where. if you are serous you will find a more realistic way to get the information.

well, if this guy was really "serious" don't you think that he would actually contact the individuals who actually build the parks (i.e-germany) instead of asking people over a messageboard. You wouldn't believe how many calls/e-mails we get to the effect of: "my brother's friend's uncle's cousin knows as guy who's friend wants to SERIOUSLY build a cable. Could you just tell me how to do it and everything? Thanks." So, in other words: get a clue. _________________ H.B.A |
