well, then at the very least it makes you look like a guy that would put a body kit on a WRX.
leave the design to the automotive designers. _________________ "Half of what I say is meaningless, but I say it just to reach you" |

I've got a better idea! Why not just keep it stock appearing, put the money you were going to spend on th ebodykit into performance mods and have a sleeper. Then when your driving around and some Honda or whatever pulls next to you thinking their gonna whoop up on a stock WRX you can hand them wood screws to reattach their doors you just blew off.
Just my opinion, I like the element of surprise. _________________ Jason

When i can afford it this is what id do to my ride....shave off the door handles, paint it all black, low profile tires w/ rims, tint out the windows, remove all brand recognition (i.e. Honda, Chevy, Ford, etc symbols) and just roll around in a black generic looking car...itd be fun _________________ la forme n'est pas prête encore. Mandi: Pull out the F22a when it get a bit old, and get a JDM spec H22a with about 20,000 on the clock. It will drop straight into the '92, hardly any mods nessesary. Keep the F22a tranny if its in good nick and you want better fuel econony, or put the H22a tranny on for performance (I would prefer the F22a).

But none of these cars are half as cool as an 69' SS Chevelle with a 396... I'd take some old fashion muscle before sporting up a compact. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

Ahhh!! I hate sports exhausts on crappy cars! So they MIGHT add 5-7 horsepower (MIGHT), but huge ones just look and sound hideous. _________________ Terminate high thinking |

dude, DONT put those buzzy and annoying as hell exhausts on a good car like that. put the real deal on and go for a rally exhaust, they sound hella powerfull, and actually DO give you decent power. and i would DEFINATELY go for performance mods before you touch the body/appearence. _________________ dream like you will live forever, but live like you will die today |

| pfff imports, the only car I would probably drive is a porsche or some pimped out german car. Im a truck man for life. the chevrolet 350 engine IMO is the best engine ever made, you can do so much to it, and trucks can handle a ton more horse and torque than a car. They are horrible for gas milage compared to cars...but when it comes down to horse and muscle....cars dont compare to trucks. |

hey dragon, i dont know what they put on for rally racing, but the cars MUST be street legal to race in most rally's.
in a rally race, the cars drive on everything, sometimes including non-corded off public roads. the cars must be officially liscenced and road legal.
again, this is for MOST rally's, not all.
but yea, I GUARENTEE there is a better legal exhaust out there than those darn buzzy ones that are on rice burners, even if its not a straight pipe. _________________ dream like you will live forever, but live like you will die today |

Rally racing is sick, those cars have so much power. I agree with dragon on the exhaust thing. Everyone at my school has stock civics with a crappy exhaust . The only nice car, is a kid who has about 10 grand into a Vw. _________________ Ontario Rider

I used to have a 1991 mitsubishi 3000gt vr-4, with an extensive list of mods to it. Only exterior mod was rims, and blacked out windows. I "only" spent about 4 grand on the engion, and ran in the low 12's, high 11's. That was a fun car.
And to comment on a previous statement, although I now prefer trucks and suvs to cars, you are drunk if you think a chevy 350 engion can handle more power than any car engion. Must be one of those "chevy is king of the world" guys, who have never heard of the new dodge hemi, which will run circles around the chevy 350.
And to let you know, one can put out close to 700 hp on a turbo setup with a stock block, from a v6 engion.
And I think if a body kit will make you happy, go with it. I personally dont care for them, but your ride should please you, and if other people like it, cool. |

criminally_minded,
My Honda is an EX not it doesn't have leather seats. it still has the stock radio/tape player in it. I am buying a car this weekend just for the system in it and then I will have a bad system. But for the whole engine thing I am low on the $$$$ right now. |

The chevy 350 is one of the most easily modified engines out there. Now if you look at the new 350, the LS-1, it is a small block v-8 that has unlimited potiential. If you have a turo set-up on a stock block you would not make anywhere close to 700 HP. Stock means no mods, do get 700 hp on a v-6 even w/ turbo you would need mods. If it's turbo upgrades, exhaust, down pipe, any of this are mods. Show me a stock car w/ a turbo v-6 and 700 hp, I'll belive when I see it. _________________ "What do you mean you're done for the night...Insomnia doesn't even open until 4. the ls-1 is not a block design. it is a head design. also what do you mean by a stock block? the block is only the casting that holds the crank, rods, pistons, cam, etc. when do you consider a block no longer stock? because you could easily buy a chevy small block, just the block, and make 700 hp with a turbo set up. also 350 is not a block size. the block is called a small block and you could get a near infinite number of displacements out of it with different piston, crank, rod, and head combinations. the most typical chevy small block displacements are 305, 327, 350, 383, and 400. |
