"I've been awake longer than you've been alive" - Leggester
Your not as awake as you think or you would'nt assume something about someone you've never met and don't know, or be so sure about your own knowlege base.

It's not about games it's about different views of reality. Check yourself, grow up.

Few questions here.. and please try to answer these direcectly without rhetoric..

How does our policy cause this? This has been going on for years. For the last decade, attacks have increased and we have done nothing. Since going after Al Queda and now Saddam, I have not seen too many. Will there be some? Probably. But here is the rub, it's damn hard to set up funding and planning when you are on the run. Yeah, 9/11 showed how easy it is to take something, but do you have any idea of how much planning and money went into that? Right now, there are splinter cell that may have limited impact, but they will be taken out as soon as they raise their head.

Do you honestly believe diplomacy would continue to work in Iraq? Would it work the same as diplomacy did on Germany as they marched through France? It's a hell of a lot easier to shut the gate before the horses get out, not after!!

Ralph, I feel that you portray yourself as a man of the world and all us Americans are just closed minded and arrogant.

Do you feel it's good that France and Russia are doing good from the current IRaq?? This is a country that starves it citizens, gasses innocents and is supposed to be under sanctions of only receiving food and medical supplies.

Me wake up man? You gotta be yanking me. You can't even keep your story straight between two posts.

I know how you've presented yourself here. That's enough for me.

Remember the recent facts... France and Russia are prospering by aiding in the violation of the UN treaties.

Damn, sorry for winding you guys up it wasn't my intention. Just trying to give a different point of view, if you didn't get anything out of it just let it go. I hope I'm wrong about what I think may happen in the future anyway, hopefully the conflict will be resolved quickly and things in the middle east will be better for it.

I could get a lot more out of it if there were not some many gaps in the other view.. I would still like to hear how it is ok that France and Russia are benifiting from Iraq as it is now.

I guess it should not matter to you if your predictions come true, since you do not have family here. But bear this in mind, although awful, we do have someone in office that believes in retaliation. We will go after individuals and it might take a while to get them, but it will disrupt their activities to no end.

Ralph, although I'm trying not to make this personal, I am sick to death of people bagging on America. In time of need, everyone comes running, when things are good, everyone hates the big guy. If we ignored the world, would it make it a better place. Let's just say today, Americas borders are closed. We no longer export, but moreover, we no longer import. DO you think the world would notice? We no longer will get involved in global conflicts, but we will also no longer provide global relief and medical. Hmmm, wonder how long till people change their mind. Thing of how may inventions are used today to get living done were developed in the US and within the society that the world loves to hate.....

Thanks Leggester, I'll bring beer and gas money!

Don't get me started on France! Bastards! Of course it's not OK.

If you think that people outside of the US wasn't stunned/repulsed/gutted by the horror of previous terrorist acts then you are mistaken, we are a long way away but it still matters.

RKG, if you thought I was bagging on the US then I didn't make myself clear enough, I love the US and I don't think that there foreign policy is "wrong" in a moral sense at all. Thats why I was saying it's not about wrong and right, it's about cause & effect. Things of the past have caused things of today, thats why I feel policy has to change, not because it is "wrong" but because it's effects are harmful to the US.

There is no doubt the world as a whole owes a huge amount to the US.
