Can any one help with info on wake boarding....

hi...I'm writting these questions on behalf of my 15 year old daughter Keiran ( we live in NSW Australia )....she has to do a research project on an out door extreme sport an so she chose wake boarding...she has some questions that she would like to be answered.....they are as follows....

History of the sport....
Rules and how the sport is judged...
An athletes profile ( champion of sport )
Equipment.....
List of terms used to describe tricks or stunts....
A brief outline of the sport......

as you can imagine for my daughter who has never done the sport and in all honesty proberly did not know it existed.....she would really appreciate any help in helping her answer any of the questions...lol.....her assignment is due on the 14th of March so we have a bit of time to gather the info....so from her mum...I would like to thank any one whe gives a reply....you can email me on... bluenakota@hotmail.com so I can forward any info as well...thanks heaps Roni Very Happy

A lot of your questions can be answered on www.wakeworld.com they have heaps of articles, trick lists, what the judges are looking for, what sort of equipment we use. It gives an outline to the sport but wakeboarding takes its roots from skateboarding and snowboarding but put behind a boat, a lot of the tricks are a combination of tricks from these sports but now the pros as they push the sport have a whole bunch that are our own. There are a few guys a lot older than me who are on this site maybe they will help with the history, lol.
