What are you looking to do with it? I picked up an ibook just so I could log footage while I'm on the plane. There is a store in arizona Called Re-Mac computers. They sell new and used macs. If you get their number and call I think they can ship. Good prices and offer a full warranty. Go to google and search remac computers for the number. If your interested I might be selling my Ibook. It's only 3 month old. _________________ My Demo Reel

James-
If Office/DVD movies and internet is all you want to do, go with an ibook. The battery life on the ibooks is insane! I watched Gladiator on DVD on mine and still had 1 hr of battery life left after the flick was over. For what you want to do, you won't need extra computing power that the powerbook offers. Plus the wireless internet on the ibooks is insane too. _________________ 1989 Supra Comp TS6M, 06 GLI for haulin'.

I had an ibook. and my buddys 12 inch always outlasts it.
the 14 inch powerbook does get the best reception out of any computer.
which is kinda odd.. you would think they would make the powerbooks get better reception.
I dont know I just like the feel of the 12 inch powerbook.
and i can get a 1ghz with 768mb or ram ram for only 1k....., g4 ibooks are going to be more from what i have seen cause they came out a few monthes ago.
better off with more power than less.

It was an ibook. the first model that came out after the "clam shell" ones. and the computer is fine. the Hard drive is just messed up. most likely because i have dropped it. fell on it.thrown it. punched it. kicked it. tossed it. NUMEROUS Times. It is honestly amazingly solid. I cant belive it is in working condition. you can honestly treat them like school books. they wont break. they dont fall apart.
Its lasted me about 4 years. without one problem. and has ran just as good as new the entire time.
a hard drive going out after 4 years of solid use and abuse...is not unreasonable.
........show me a pc laptop that has run 4 years without a problem, and isnt slow and messed up.....exactly. ive never seen one either.

and like RD has mentioned/eluded to earlier with regards to computer components: you get what you pay for. _________________ www.TheLiquidPlayground.com
