First Spin Landed Bigger Than A 180

alrighty, so i thought it was weird when the first spin above a 180 i landed was a TS 540, not a HS 3 like most, i dunno, just wonderin if anybody else has been like this, and also, how do u cut in for a HS 3 to stay on axis or how do u pop? thanx

Well if your unique like that, maybe try a wrapped HS BS 360. I cant do any spins over 180 but I got REALLY close on the BS 360. Not hard, just take progressive edge and let go of the wrap handle at the wake and keep the handle IN (My mistake) to stay on axis.

For a FS 360, I can't do them but by watching them many times what I have gathered is you take a progressive edge and don't start your rotation untill you are in the air. As Higher Education describes it. "Do just a normal HS wake jump, then if its a good one start the 360."

smlparksguy133, Its acctualyl not a great idea to use a progressive edge on spins. The reason for that is that the progressive edge builds large line tension which gives you that great pop but also contributes greatly to a Load and Relase type feel. you are more likyl to get pulled off axis doing a progressive edge than usign a strong knees bent edsge and flatening at the top of the wake and standing tall. The flattening at the top will decrease the excess line tension and standign tall gives you that pop you need.

yea you dont want to get pulled over by the rope on backside spins. and that is really weird that you landed a ts fs 540, i have a lot of trouble with that stuff. try hs 3's and 5's, they are fun. just dont spin off the wake, wait until you have popped and are flat.

Good points als132, and Wake_Turner, but for a wrapped spin, you dont have to pass the handle so its OK to have more tension, but whatever floats your boat.
