Do any of you buy Bikinis mail order or on line?
My daughter is a size 00 slender, 5' 5" ,wants low rise, and they're hard for her to find.
She trys them on all day and a good fit for an active girl is tough.
Am I correct in assuming bikinis don't get good until they cost $100 +?
Also the hassle of sending them back,, which ya know is going to happen,
is it a hassle?
Any lines offer call tags or free returns?
Any suggestions?
Whats the trick? Looks like ya order 50 and send back the ones you don't want would be the easiest way.
Any particular place that has good fitting bikinis for a slender girl?
So far she's looking here:
http://www.sauvagewear.com/
Is their quality any good?
We wakeboard for 5 weeks at the river and she lives in Bikinis in the boat, wakeboarding, flirting with boys sitting on the side of the pool at our resort, all nite golf carting social runs so they get shop worn pretty fast.
Thanks for any imput, I appreciate it.

| Sounds like you are trying to avoid the mall or shopping all together. Jeans and bathing suits are really the two items you have to try on because you never really know how they will look. That being said, I've ordered both online. Stick to the bathing suit cuts she has been successful with in the past i.e. under wire vs. string tops and Brazilian cut vs. grandma bottoms. Not sure about the quality of the bikinis you sited, but exchanges are a pain in the butt no matter if they are in person or via mail. My advice: get a lady friend of yours to take her shopping and give her your credit card. Shopping with women is more fun, and generally more productive. |

FT, size double ought is tough.
I'm surprised she finds anything - even in Juniors.
The best advice I can give is to find the highest "lycra" factor ( stretchability ). These tend to wear out faster, but last for a season. They seem to be made a bit small anyway and are intended to stretch to fit the wearer.
Also, with a reputable firm, exchanges aren't a big deal. Especially if you decide to order a smaller or larger fit. Most times, you'll get stuck with the shipping though. _________________ I'm hung like Einstein,

I think just taking her to the south bay will be the trick.
One a month a street opens in the clothing district in downtown LA.
Price are teriffic, but smalls sizes are tuff to find.
She got the above suit there.
3 for a hundred.
Some major league bikini shops along the beach.
Perhaps make the journey there too.
All the suits she has now are threadbare. _________________ WWW.battlesangel.com

| You don't need to spend a $100 for a nice suit. Roxy makes great ones & you can get them pretty small. I also like Billabong. Your best bet is to go to some surf/swim shops & try them on. |

Sauvage is not the place you want your kid buying suits from. Very high end clothing shop.
Venus isn't as expensive and they have a pretty good return policy:

Another place you might want to venture down to ( in San Diego) if you have the time is Gone Bananas and Pilars on Mission Blvd.
There's also a Roxy/Quicksilver outlet store (clothing/wetsuits)
near San Juan Capistrano. _________________
8824, dude - I suck. You were right.
. |

| Roxy swimsuits are great and they run small too. I have had some of mine for years and they are still in great shape, they hold up pretty well. They are middle range price wise, but check out the outlet store they usually have great deals there. |

My wife just bought boardshorts from a pplace online called crazy tshirts? They are in Hawaii and Key West and sell a lot of swimwear. Check them out, as I understand they have a great customer service reputation.
Cute daughter...I'd be investing in gun and a shovel...at least that's my plan.
