I am just trying to get started wakeboarding. I saw a Hyperlite TFD 142 I think it was a 2003 maybe 2004. It has bindings and is $211 dollars new. Is this board too advanced for me?

In my opinion boards rarely are "too advanced" for a rider. I have been riding a Hyperlite pro model ever since I was a beginner. As long as the board is the right size for you, I would buy it. It sounds like a pretty good deal... but what kind of bindings does it come with?? The binding seem to effect me a lot more than the board does.

like ONENUT said, boards are hardly ever too advanced. if money is not an object, then i would say this board is fine. if money is an issue, i would probably buy a 3-4 year old, well used board for $100 or less (hyperlite, liquid force, obrien or CWB) - i would use that board for a month, or two, or a whole year, until i got a feel for what kind of rider I am, then, fine the exact board that fits your riding.
