I got a new digital camera this past weekend and decided to take a few photos of my boat that has been collecting dust in my garage the last 5 months. I aploigize that the photos are kind of dark, but I did not want to pull the boat out of the garage. If I had room to put my boat in the living room believe me that's where it would be. Anyways, I will be out at Folsom Lake in about 3-4 weeks, and will definitely be at the boat show next week. Does anyone know if there is going to be any pro riders there?

It looks good with the monster tower.

Does the Barbie Jeep tow well?

KurtInCincy- I keep trying to con my daughter into letting me borrow that Barbie Jeep to tow the boat so I can save some gas money, but so far it hasn't worked!

That should be a SX195 Glastron - w/ either 4.3 or a 5.0 engine hopefully Volvo. 2003 model ???? Looks very familar to me - used to have the 2000 model. Do the boards still fit in the side rails???? We used to keep a board & a skate in each side rail plus someone could have one on. The ski locker will hold a 400 lb fat sac and there is room on either side of the engine for sacks too. This boat in my very humble option is the best i/o boat made to wakeboard behind. As long as it has the v8 engine. The next would be its little brother the SX175 w/4.3. Very fast too.

Siltongdvl- Yes I have the 220hp 5.0 V8 option, but it is a Mercrusier and not a Volvo Penta. It is the 2003 model, and occasionally I will add sacks into the middle compartment and the back of the boat. You are right about the engine compartment having a ton of space to put sacks, but I have to compartmentalize that area first so that they don’t hit the engine. My boards seem to fit on the racks ok, but I think it is time for some new boards. I bought the Liquid force board about 5 years ago when I first learning how to ride, and then got the Blindside board around 3 years ago. I think I am going to add 2 more tower speakers along with a second battery and then I am done.

Fond memories and lots of good times on ours - the kids all learned to wakeboard behind ours. I built the tower & speakers. What prop are you using - have any problem holding speed????

silvtongdvl- Nice boat man, and that tower looks very good on the boat. I am running a 17pitch prop, and it seems to hold speed very well. The only time I have problems is when I have an inexperienced driver pull me and we all know how that goes!

That prop should work good for you - only thing I ever found better - believe me I went thru some props - was a 4 blade alum 18 pitch. It was almost like PP - if you break your 17 - you might think about it.

Good job on your boat too !!!! If you have any questions - feel free to ask.

Well I don't have it anymore - but we used to remove the 4 bolts - 1 at each corner, unplug the speakers - used trailer connectors and then lift the tower off. It took 3 guys, not because it was heavy - just awkward and we didn't want to damage the boat.
Then it would fit easy. The dealer sold it to a local guy - friends have said they have seen it. For 12k it was a great boat to ride & learn on - it made the boys learn how to egde and use the smaller wake. They all learned to do their first inverts behind that boat . Now they are all lazy because of the SSV. LOL. J/K. If for some reason I can't continue to pay for my SSV - that model Glastron would be on my radar in a heartbeat. I think they are little more than the 12k now. Also I would do the Monster Tower thing this time. Back then Monster was only a gleam in Bill's eye. Wink

P.S. - I put my sub under the same side you did and my amps under the drivers side - Did you upgrade the speakers under there too????

Silvtongdvl- Yeah I had to upgrade the speakers that came with the boat because they were pathetic. I am running a 12 inch Polk Sub, 1-6x9 under the driver and passenger sides, 2-6x9s on the tower, and 2-6x5s (I think that's right) by the engine compartment. I had a 600 watt amp installed last year (it wasn't a name brand, and I forget the manufacture), but it keeps crapping out on me, so it's time to upgrade to a quality amp. My battery semmed to handle the load ok last year, but I plan on running a spare battery this year since I plan on adding 2 more tower speakers.

There is a 205 running around where we ride - yellow. Nice family & boat. Nice ride liquid !!!!!!

On the battery - we never needed a second one. I bought one of the portable jump starter things. Never needed it - but I thought if I ran down the battery playing the stereo on the beach - I could start the boat & let the altern. do the rest. You can pick them up for about 40 bucks at wally world.
