Or Has lots of salt water been through the engine...? Just Messin...
Heck, If I had the money I would jump on that. 40 hours or less on a 2001 X-Star for as under-priced as It's being sold for, It takes no rocket scientist to point that steal out. _________________ www.Tigeowners.com

Actually I dont really think it is a steal, its a good deal.
It is actually a 205v, take a look at the seats. Also looks like there is corrosion on the engine, specifically the manifolds from salt water. |

ferrarispider95, touche'. I didn't see that it was the 205V...good eyes. It is still a very good deal though...depending on the reserve. If the reserve is 30 or under its a steal.
I don't think that much salt water could have been in it with less than 40 hours. Definitely corosion on the engine though...it looks like it wasn't flushed out w/ fresh water after its use. |

thats 40 hours RUNNING... not exposure time. CoRRosion doesnt just happen while the boat is running. The boat has still been in or around salt water for 4 years. _________________ I eat Vegans. Medium-Rare.

| Good point Ruune.......another point I wanted to make is that it may look good in the pictures and seem to be a good deal, but there's nothing like seeing the boat in person. I've been looking at a lot of boats lately, and I can tell you that pictures and descriptions can be deceiving....seeing it up close and taking a good look at the condition of the hull, gelcoat and vinyl is priceless....just my 2 cents. |

Wait to see if it even hits the reserve to call it a good deal. There are a lot of morons on Ebay placing huge reserves on items that never get met. _________________

I agree with ruuune It is a florida boat which I never buy. That is because down there the season is all year so the boat never gets hoistedto dry out the gel coat or glass. There s way more delam down there than u[p by me. Even hot water, like in fla. (hot being 70-90) acc. delam.

It should tip you off that he does not even know what year it is. He even calls it an X-star...
Poor guy just travels too much to use his 50K X-star conversion. I guessI can call my 225 VRS an x-30.
You guys need to look at my 1999 x-30......well its really a 95' and the graphics make it what it is!! Good eyes on the 205 part!!

MrBlean, wow is a bit of a bargain.. its incredible how undervalued boats become just because they are "imports"... _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

I've been quoted £1250+VAT (from 2 different organisations) to get a boat CE approved but it's supposedly gonna get much more difficult/expensive next year. This RCD fiasco has spawned a whole new industry of organisations charging an arm and a leg to write out a bit of paper.
The vendors of that boat were hoping for £25k realising it would sell for less than a UK-spec boat. Had it been so £35k would have been more realistic.
Had it not been for my slalom interest, I would have been tempted myself.
In terms of "under-valuing", of course the dealer network loves this as it's a great put-off to importing a boat privately. Neither MC nor TV Ski will touch an import (or so they say), but if you could bring in a boat at half price and spend £1250 on it to make it kosher what would you do? _________________ Jeff |

That's what it says. There was no comment regarding the reserve not being met. I noted it's a non-standard trailer. If you were a trader you'd have to know something about boats and their value before committing that sort of money.
I spoke to the vendor and I have to say he wasn't quite as "on the ball" as I would have expected which put me off slightly.

Just my sus. mind, a car dealer, who was selling is own boat, sells to another car dealer in the same area. Was he just testing the market, with the backup from a mate, sorry as you say, if things look to good to be true, well we know the rest ! |
