Launched my new '00 X last evening and found out the trailer guides are too narrow...while backing off the boat from the trailer, the tower leg supports 'clip' the trailer guides. Has anyone else run into this?

No, but the guides bolt on with U bolts so you should be able to readjust them pretty easily.
