Hi, I'm a newbie to wakeboarding. Ive been out about a bit and I thought I would buy a board.

2005 Hyperlite State 140 Wakeboard Package $419.99
http://www.boardstop.com/product_info.php?cPath=53_54&products_id=609

or
2005 Liquid Force Omega 139 Wakeboard Package $399.99
http://www.boardstop.com/product_info.php?cPath=53_69&products_id=806

I'm looking for something in that price range. If there is another board within a $100 range thats better please tell me.

hyperlite one looks cooler......... haha, not a reason you should choose a board. but asvawakemonster, said, the state does help a lot with toeside edgeing.

DK, the omega, I would say, because it has a happy medium of all the features a board can have. It lets you decide what you want from it and gives it to you. That way, on your nest board, you will know what you want to get and what you don't want to. It is also supposed to be a great board for all riding styles, seeing as its got a middle-section of everything.

Yes, I would get the Omega because it is a mixture of all the different Liquid Force boards all put into one.

And the bindings are alot better and the package is cheaper. Cool

I'd go with the omega because of the bindings the hyperlite state are just like old ones and they really sucked i just got hte alpha bindings and I think there the best bindings out. the omega board has lots of pop

I have heard many great things from the Hyperlight State board. If you ask me I would go state. If you want the binding, which i dont blame you for, then go LF. But however you were asking about boards and not bindings.

The LF bindings are heads above the HL ones, but I'd personally take the State over the Omega... Maybe try to create your own package...

I agree with Maestro, i have tried on the Alphas and they are so comfy, but then i don't like the looks of the omega. I would keep the alpha bindings but look into a different board, because i am not a huge fan of either.
