I found this on my computer while deleting some files. This is from my study abroad semester in Oz. Taken in April 2003 on the Brisbane River by Michael Davis of the University of QLD. Wakeboard Club.

Yeah, 03 Exo's on an 03 Evolution. I thought the pic turned out OK, just wish my tantrum would have cleared the buildings. Kinda hard to get 6'3" 215lb that high behind a closed bow Malibu Respone though.

Commences Year Round
Venue UQ Boat Shed, Sir William Macgregor Dr
Training Times Sundays 10:00am - 4:00pm
Membership Fees $30 (UQ), $90 (Non-UQ)
It's a really good deal to hook up with. The ski shed is right on the campus, which is right on the Brisbane river just around the bend from where the pic was taken. You pay a membership, then something like $1 AU per minute of riding. They have two Malibu Responses (one brand new) with pylons and ballast. You ride every Sunday pretty much as much as you want or can afford (depending on how many show up that day). The semester I was there there was only one boat and I always got to ride as much as I wanted.
Besides the wakeboarding they are always doing pub crawls and pretty much just partying. It's a very good way to meet some of the locals, since a lot of Americans that study there end up just hanging out with other Americans.
The city is very cool and there's a lot to do. I think there's like 5 Universities so anywhere you go out it's usually a younger crowd. I really cant say enough about Brisbane and the wake club at UQ. Definitely the best semester I've ever had.
