Board Recommendations for daughter

We are looking for a board for our daughter for this summer. She has boarded with my board several times, but my board is too big and heavy for her. She will be 13, 5'7' tall and 100 pounds. Any suggestions for a beginner board that she won't outgrow physically and ability wise would be appreciated. We had been directed to the CWB Raven and Liquid Force Diva (128 & 134) but weren't sure about the length differences since she is light, but tall and likely to get taller.

the diva is ok, but the higher end LF girls board is the team series with remade graphics, a much better board IMO, and I would go the 134, if you know shes going to be growing quite a bit, it will last a little longer than the 128, you could find a 143 team from 04 on close out righ tnow and save some money since you'll probably be buying her another board if she continues to grow as she has. I actually work for a shop and we are closing out some 04 womens gear, PM me if your interested, also I cannot stress enough how important it is to get GOOD bindings too, cheap bindings dont offer adequate support and can lead to injury.

Is the specifice name of the higher end LF board just called "Team Series"? And since you brought it up...what is a good binding? Smile

She has very narrow feet and is about a women's size 10.5. My husband and I are more skiiers and don't know much about the board equipment! Thanks!

sledhead, yes, it's called "The Team", and LF(Liquid Force) makes some women specific bindings, the Minx and also "Nice" brand bindings (not 05 stuff) are really narrow bindings, I cant even fit in most of them, your best bet on bindings is try them on, seriously,(and leave them on standing up, for a while so the pressure points will start to hurt if there are any) after she knows what she wants, then you can try to find a sweet deal, and as I said we have some stuff we are closing out, I could probably get you a discount for buying board and bindings at once inLF she would wear large minxs, and probably med mens bindings, and in the girls Nice's she would wear med, and probably small guys, and Hyperlite/Jobe Med mens(they have no good girls bindings), hopefully this helps

If you have local shop, most of them have demo deals worked out where you can try it for the weekend then you rental goes towards purchase. Its really hard to pick a board out without trying it. Think of going to the shoe store and having to buy a shoe w/out trying them on.
