UGH...Yet another stereo question

OK...currentky I have a clarion marine cd player d5735 i believe. In my boat i also have the wired clarion remote by the throttle. I want to add a new headunit (clarion DXz8375) so I can play mp3s and have better sound quaility.
My question is will the old wired remote work with my new headunit or will i be SOL??? Also is there any ones that will work??? Will i have to use a differnt manufacterer???

When I went looking to buy a new deck for my boat, I was looking into getting one of those remotes. I was told by my local car audio dealer that those remotes only work with clarion marine product.

OK...Thats what I thought...Can anyone help me with a high end headunit(its gotta play mp3s and am looking at something comparable to the clarion DXZ835MP or dxz925) that i will be able to control at the drivers seat?? (my stereo is in the passenger glovebox) I am not really brand specific..just something that will be better sound quality than I have but still have the capabilities to run some sort of remote. Maybe a wireless remote is the best?? always the chance of losing that though!!

the clarion you are looking at comes with a wireless remote, the only people i know of that make highend audio comps. with wired remotes for car use is Sony.
