Old Cassette Deck

I found a couple old Cassette decks on ebay for pretty cheap. They are about $25.00 a piece + $20.00 to ship . Just curious if this is a good deal. They are 2001 flat boards that need repainted and have no grip or fins. I was also wondering if you can order sheets of the foam or eva like you can with grip tape?

I talked the seller down to $30 bucks shipped, and I already have a partial roll of skateboard grip tape. This will be my first wakeskate, I'm pretty excited to repaint it and ride!! I plan on using automotive grade clearcoat to finish the painting, will a marine grade sealer still be required for the edges??

hiett_431, strip it and paint it before the grip, and make sure you get lots of that clear all over it, and you wont need anything besides that, then grip that beast and rock it

sounds like a good deal, im not sure where you can buy wakeskate foam, but you might be able to get some all purpose eva foam.
