While I think everyone has the right to protest, seeing all the protestor's on the news tonight made me angry for some reason...
Maybe it's because they are all stupid, they had signs that said no war for oil, indicating how they don't know what is really happening...
Maybe it's because protesting doesn't accomplish anything, just disrupts things, upsets our soldiers, why don't they make some kind of reasonable, rational point....
Maybe it's because the guys there are just looking for some easy girls, make love not war, right?
But I think the biggest reason is they screwed up traffic. I heard they delayed people from getting home for like two hours, that's horrible. i think if anyone affects traffic, they should be tear gassed and pepper sprayed immediately...go protest at a park or something...seriously...

I asked one of them that had those no war for oil stickers on their car, and asked em if they believe the war is actually about oil, this was their response:
"Course its about oil, what else is over there"
Can we say misinformed?, and its sad, retard protesters are like magnets, 1 shows up, they all show up |

OttoNP, good point. ppl just like protesting and they don't care if they're informed or not. they just think they believe something's write so they try and screw things up. protesters never got anyone anywhere. _________________ "stupidity will kill you!"

I disagree. Protests have accomplished stuff. Informed people would know that. |

what good is the prostest doing now? the war has begun and it must be finished, so lets line the steets and beat each other up, yeah thats really making a difference
No one was protesting when we went shortly after 9/11.......it really pisses me off too, they look like a bunch of idiots who have no clue what this is really about
Bush made a promise after 9/11 he would go after terrorism, I think people are in shock that a president actually kept his promise |

I think that if this war goes well, with low casualties (how many are low? any are too much, but...) and we uncover that Saddam was hiding some illegal weapons, and the situation in the Middle East improves and we start getting some Iraqi gas, and the Iraqi's like us, etc., then Bush is set for another term.
However, if this doesn't turn out perfect, he's done for.

| I agree. I think Bush's re-election will be decided by this war. I don't think "Iraqi gas" is going to be much of a factor though. Iraq is only a fraction of OPEC and OPEC pretty much sets the prices of oil through supply and demand because they control most of the supply. |

The towns that have been liberated are cheering for our troops, it doesn't get much better than that. _________________ Who......me? |

The no war for oil people need to talk to the thousands of Iraqi people that have been fleeing that nation for years. Why are they leaving in droves?
Someone needs to through a copy of the Sport Illustrated article about Suddam's son in their face and see what they chant after that.... or better yet tell them you respect their right to free speech and if they really wanted to prove something go over to IRAQ and practice some free speech. Let me know how you make out once you are beheaded.

But if we occupy Iraq, and set up a government there, can we get Iraq to avoid having to remain in OPEC? Wouldn't that result in more oil for us, and lower prices? If we set up a US friendly government that wasn't a part of OPEC, couldn't we totally wreck OPEC's hold on oil supply and demand? OR is this a very ignorant question, based on my lack of understanding of the oil situation? _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |
