Check out the intro that I put together for my 2004 video. Hopefully you all enjoy it - anything you would change?

cool stuff. Ok, heres my analysis. The beginning part with the syringe is a cool idea. It seems a bit choppy though. It looks like you might have created it in flash. Flash animations run at a different framerate than DV, but I believe you can change the framerate so it's the same. Try that and see if it takes away the choppy-ness of it.

Second, the definition of addiction is on screen too long. I lose interest fast, cut it to 5 or 6 seconds. Also, the second set of text is too small and too much text on one screenshot. I'd either get rid of some of the text, or break it up into small sections and cut between them.

Finally, the scenes of getting the boat ready are too long. They are good setup shot ideas, but need to be cut significantly. The best way to do this is to increase their speed. Especially in the last scene (getting the boat ready at the dock). I would increase the speed of that by at least 300%. You don't need to see every aspect of getting it ready, just the overall movement. It also looks cooler going fast (imo).

You've got a good start. I would tweak these things to make it great. I am very critical about this stuff too (I've worked doing video editing and production), so don't think I'm trying to be overly harsh. I'm just trying to help Smile

Zach M, Thanks for the suggestions - I guess the reason that I left the second definition up there is because I am a slow reader, and there is alot to read there. but I will work on the other stuff you mention.

JamesWatts, That is not me - my brother-in-law is the skier in the family, but I still take video of it.
