Alright, well here I am on a cold January day up here in Canada (Winnipeg to be more precise if ya' know where that is even...). I've been playin' hockey, hitting the weights and crying over the lockout (yeah, that's right, it's a big deal up here in Canada) so really I haven't done much in terms of Wakeboarding. I don't have a fancy trampoline or one of those Indo boards or even a snowboard for that matter, so any suggestions on any way to prepare for the four months of riding I get in the Summer would be greatly appreciated. _________________ YYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWWWW!!!! |

Know what you mean. It's gonna be minus 34 Celsius tomorrow am which I know is nothin for you Winterpeggers. I still want to go snowboarding. Lift lines will be short and the sun will be shining.
I made my own balance board for about 30 bucks and a trip to the local building supply. All you need is a 4x4 sheet of 1/2" smooth plywood cut to an oval shape. I think I used birch. A 6" plastic drain pipe works for the roller. A little varnish and you're done. Try it on thick carpet first. More detailed instructions if you wish. The kids love it too. Wife wants it out of the living room, though. |

| There was something posted on this site about what to do in the off season. I don't know where it is, but I know one thing that I'm working on...Skateboarding switchfoot. Supposed to help with wakeboarding switch...Hopefully so! |

weight train and watch some dvds on wakeboarding. if you're lucky enough to have video taped your seasons rides, review them. watch them like game tape and make notes. you might learn something. _________________ Check out my comic strip:

If you have a snow mobile and a snowboard this product might help you to stay in shape for boarding. Also no need to pay lift ticket and wait in lines, just attach your wakeboard rope to a snowmobile pylon and enjoy the fun. Here is a link for more info http://www.xmpinc.com/Scripts/Snowmobile_Pylon.asp _________________ http://www.xmpinc.com |
