|
I have been wakeboarding for about five years and for the past two years have been riding a Hyperlite Motive 144. I ride mostly behind a 18 bayliner with a pylon, however have recently purchased an x35 with fat sacs and a tower. So I would like to buy a new board. I would like to stick with hyperlite and would like a board that has good pop and somewhat forgiving on landings, as I will be trying to learn new tricks. I'm not really too concerned with price, mostly I want a board that will allow me to advance my skills and still be somewhat forgiving.
Thanks |

| Hyperlites, contrary to their name, are relatively heavy, and may limit your progression. People will disagree with me but i am speaking from expirience.... |

Ctipping, I actually agree with you. Liquid Force boards are typically much lighter than HL.
jonsmith2340, DO NOT stay stuck on one brand, it is the biggest mistake you will make when choosing a board. Go to www.boardstop.com it has a great board finder and will help you find one by ability. Open up your options, there are alot of good board companies out there. Look at Liquid Force, CWB, Double Up, Blindside, and yes Hyperlite. Please do not get a Parks board (for the sake of any future respect on these boards), and definitely do not get a Hydroslide. Oh yeah, and what is an X35? |

| Ctipping and Bowen - Agreed that LF boards are lighter, but that really shouldn't have a big impact on your riding. |

jonsmith2340, if you must stick with Hyperlite, the Era or Premier sound about right.
I would check out boards that have similar ride characteristics from other companies though. CWB Absolute or Flame, LF Substance, GB Gonzalez, etc. _________________
