| Damn, that thing looks sweet, I saw one at the 2003 boat show, the only thing I didnt like was the patterns they used on the interior, It kinda made the boat look too busy, otherwise the flame interior and exterior look sick IMHO.

Nice boat, when I first saw the graphics I didn't like them, but I saw a couple at our boat show and I think they look a lot cooler in person. Well enjoy your new ride

Brent - nevermind about working with your friend - the guy I work with's friend bought a black B52! Looks like there's a number of these new boats in the N. Houston area.

| i did not get the 2 speed transmission. i had one on order but I cancelled it. I would have had to wait a couple of months and with the water now at 75 i couldn't wait.... The regular b52 with just the two ballast tanks is a bit slow out of the hole, but that extra 500 in the front helps a lot and with the new prop there is no problem at all. my friend has a wakesetter loaded down with only 1500 lbs and it is quite a bit slower than mine. it has no problem keeping speed with the pp wakeboard pro, and double ups are huge and very easy to hit.

| .....the new prop is a different size to help acceleration. i talked to a guy who knows mb pretty well and he said to switch out the prop and the boat should perform a lot better taking off and turning for double ups. Mb sports is also starting to put a different prop on all of their new boats. the size is a 13 inch 17 pitch stainless prop.

Brent - make sure the trailer recall has been done - there was a recall to fix cracking at the welds on the rear guides.. Had mine done a short while ago one of mine had started cracking.

| i took it out today, but the picture is not very good. you can't really see the wake too well. my camera is not very good at taking moving pictures so it doesn't look too good and is not worth posting.

Nice boat bro. I have only seen 1 of those at the lake by my house. The 1 I saw was throwing a huge wake. I don't know if he had extra weight in it.

| Congrats on the new toy! I had been looking at getting one myself. Then i read that it wasn't coast guard approved becasue there is so much ballast that they couldn't fit enough flotation material in it. Since you baught one, is that true? Any problems insuring it? What was the deciding factor to buy the B52 vs other boats?

| i don't know where you heard that it wasn't coast guard approved because that is not true. i read somewhere that the coast guard will only allow a maximum of 2100 lbs of ballast and that is how much they use. no problem insuring it. i chose the b52 because it has by far the best warranty available and i got to test ride one and it has the best wake i have ever seen from a stock ballast system.

| sweet boat. I don't doubt you that it is Coast guard approved if you baught it. I had read somewhere else on this website that it wasn't approved by the coast guard and that caused me to think twice about it. Hey, if that is incorrect info then great becuase i am looking at getting one myself and that was the biggest thing holding me back from doing it.

filmguy- Boats over 20' 6" don't need to be coast guard approved. That is why almost every manufacturer's smallest boat is now over this size. Some people talk up the advantages of foam reinforcement in the hull as neccesary floatation. Most foam used in boat construction is used as a cost cutting measure. It is used instead of thicker fiberglass. It does have the advantage of being bouyant, but it is not put in to float your boat. If you look at the offshore speedboats you won't find foam you will find extra layers of fiberglass to strengthen the hull. MB uses some of the thickest fiberglass in the industry and their attention to detail is extreme. I had no problem getting insurance on my new B-52. They have changed the hull for 2004 to put up an even larger wake. Mine should be here in about 3 weeks and I'll let you know whats's up.
