Software Converter VBO to MPEG/AVI

Hey guys I just got my new PDA and I am looking for a software converter from DVD’s to Mpegs/WAV/AVI… anyone know of a good, easy, free software to do this?

The only problem with that website is that every piece of software is either mpeg/svce/avi to DVD and the ones that do have the opposite are for a limited time only or you pay for it. Have you used any of these types of software before?

i used them for a french project in school but we used it once and deleted it so we didn't pay to have it for ever
