My first board was a hydroslide if you buy it you will replace it very quick. The board is decent but by far not the best. One thing that I found out is that the bindings suck very bad I broke them after one weekend plus a few heal bruses.
One thing you have going for you is that it is cold in most places so you can get clearance items on sale now such as
http://www.seedickride.com/products.asp?cat=clear
or you could always use ebay
Good luck _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

Dprm104, I have recommended this site to quite few begginers, that want a board cheap, but not a cheap board, they have some nice rides form Gator boards, and some other well know companies, all of which are much better than hydroslide www.wiredsport.com _________________ TEAM PIRATE, AAAARRRGGGHHH YOU READY?

i have a hydroslide evil element the bindings do suck a bit but the board is good for people who are just starting because it has 3 fins so its nice and stable while you get the hang of things _________________ i love lamp. Crikey |

wake_quake, not to be a dick, but don't encourage people to buy Hydroslides, they are really low quality, and they don't ride good at all, if you dont belive go demo any major brands boards, and fell the difference, it's litterally like encouraging a new skateboarder to buy a NASH skate board, ironically this is not far from the truth since hydroslide is owned by NASH, not HO like somebody claimed _________________ TEAM PIRATE, AAAARRRGGGHHH YOU READY?

hydroslides are probably the worst boards out there that you can buy, besides homemades. go for an older model of a hyperlite or liquid force. you could get a board from HL or LF in the 2000-2002 range for a fairly good price. you might have to do some searching around though.
i bet a skurfer has better quality than a hydroslide |

The first board I bought was a hydroslide. It wasnt the board that was the problem it was the boots. After you hurt your heel real bad you will be taking them back for a refund and getting a more expensive board with good boots. _________________ Visit www.nashvillewakeboarder.com for riders in the Nashville, Tn area! |

pcm2a, I think the boots were just sooo poopy you never even got to address the short comings of the board. _________________ TEAM PIRATE, AAAARRRGGGHHH YOU READY?

| We still have our hydroslide tantrum, and would say it is an forgiving board and really easy to ride for someone who is not going to progress at an fast pace, as for the boots the only problem we have had with them is the velcro streachy stuff is no good and we sewed just an plain strap with velcro on them and they work fine. Just my opinion. |

it's a good shape, buuuuut, Im not what I would consider a "good" rider, and I broke an Obrien Absence(the Harris after he left) in half, so IDK, it may have just been a fluke, but food for thought, but yeah the player rides Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice _________________ TEAM PIRATE, AAAARRRGGGHHH YOU READY?

Ctipping, the player and the subjekt are not the same are you on crack,
( I hate uneducated advise, aka bullshizz) aside from sharing a bat tail profile they differ, in both rocker pattern, and fin configuration, seriously you got a LF sach riding problem
oh and BTW the player has more rocker, so how does the subjekt have more pop _________________ TEAM PIRATE, AAAARRRGGGHHH YOU READY?

| Kento. My friend has a player. I find i get more pop on my subjekt....3 stage as opposed to continuous, giving you a boot straight up. I love the substance and have been riding it for the last season. Really great board. pm oceanrider if you have any doubts. substance in action here http://www.wakepics.com/view_single.php?medid=13385 |

Interesting discussion. Nash (Hydroslide) is one of the largest producers of wakeboards in North America. They brand some as Hydroslide, some as Hobie, and the vast majority of their production goes to the venerated "big names" under discussion. You may be riding a Nash (Hydroslide) board. The only way to be sure is to look at the source label. All Nash wakeboards are made in the USA. Some of the other names are made in Asia. Nash bindings are made in Asia, like everyone elses. Yes, Nash bindings are not that good, but for the occasional vacation only rider, they work. _________________ Original Boarder from 1983
