If I'm doing something quick I do it in Imovie, if I want to make a good one I do it in Adobe Premier. I work on a G4.

I use Adobe Premiere 6.5 on a P4 2.4Ghz with 768Mb ram and 240G disk. Premiere took me a while to learn, but it does a great job and has a ton of features.

For simple videos you can use Movie Maker 2 (free download from Microsoft) if you're running Win XP.

G4 1.25GB RAM quicksilver media 100 LE, which comes with its own capture card, and we also have avid DV 3.0, titles and stuff, adobe after effects, if you are just doing stuff to put together home videos of you and the crew at the lake, get final cut pro, cleaner 5(if you want to put it on the internet) that is the most "bang for your buck" , adobe premire sucks, unless you just download it off a fileshare program, because its free, theres not many free things that suck, but dont pay for it, its not worth the money.

james the link in your profile says that it uses premier 6.0 and it doesnt mention final cut pro. is this because the site hasnt been updated in awhile or because it uses "sucky" programs?
