Can anyone tell me how to do some good editing for my video to go with the beat of the music? What I want to do is make the video fade in and out with certain parts of a song.
Can anyone help me with that?

| click the little arrow next to the sound file that you imported. This will show the rise and fall of the song. That will help you get it on beat. |

I can get it on the beat, but do you use transitions, or video effects? do you use keyframes, and if so...How? _________________ If you do not like your job, you don't strike....You just go in there everyday and do it really half a$$ed.....Now that's the American way - Homer Simpson. |

| I'd use transitions. Use a cross fade to black, and if you don't want it to fade completely out, put the next clip on video 2 wherever you want it to enter. Does that make sense? |

| to do a transition you have to have one clip in video 1a and the next clip in 1b the transition should go in the transition area in between. you should over lap the clips to get a good transition. also to actually see the transition remember that you have to render the work area. i forgot to do that when i started. |

Another way to do it is to put a clip in Video 2 then fade it in and out using the transparency tool. For example you could have a 30 sec clip in Video 2 that is just black video and your riding video in Video 1a. When you want the video to be black, have the transparency set on Video 2 to show all black, then quickly fade it to full transparency when you want the 1a video to show.
Play with it and you'll see that it's really easy to use and faster than trying to put together a bunch of clips with transitions in 1a and 1b. |

Good Point Billj, I was messin around last night with transitions.. took way to long.... Also when looking at your transition you can see them right away by holding the ALT key while dragging the timeline bar across the clip... _________________ http://www.wakepics.com/member/Steelerguy
