Was it him or not?

Just listened to the so called speach by Saddam. I am no expert, but the guy looked decidedly different, nor did he mention anything specifically to the time or date of the attacks as if it was pre-recorded. Just my thaughts. What do you think? 9:51 Pacific Standard Time

I think it would be amazing if that initial missle attack took care of the problem. I'm sure someone would confirm if that was a fake. 9:56 PST

it couldnt' have been a pre-taped thing b/c he said the date and i think it was him b/c i was watching cnn and they said he has a distinct voice and his look-alikes never talk. so i dont' know. this is just from what i'm wathcing on cnn. they don't think it's a double. and it did look a lot like him.

It said the date, but never the time nor a mention of the attacks. The date could have been said in a pre-recorded taping. Maybe it was the glasses that threw me off. I don't know, but the grey mustache also threw me off. Every other thing of him I have seen his mustasche is pitch black. Maybe I am just starting rumors though, only time would tell.

NOR-CAL- It would be absolutely amazing if they did get him this fast? You would think his people would fall rather quickly if it did happen. Bush is lucky (dare I say smart) that he is surrounded by intelligent people. 10:33 PST

Not much, the time is now, blah, blah, blah, Jihad this, it was nothing really in particular. If you go to CNN.com I am sure there is something on there. Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion
I don't think it was him. Just a pre-recorded of one of his dubs just in case something like this was to happen. Something to rouse the Iraqi troops sort-of-speak.

I would say it was a tape. I mean it was edited, people's head don't skip around on live TV like it was claimed. It would be great if they got him, may save a lot of lives.

I didn't see his statement in its entirety to notice any skipping. But from the still shots I've seen, it doesn't appear to be him....but after looking closely, it may very well be him. Lack of sleep, glasses, the stress associated with the thought of being blown up at any second may have an effect on appearance.
Heard conflicting reports, after staying up late as hell last night and getting up at 5am to watch the latest, the White House had good feelings that they indeed get Saddam, but then this morning CNN.com said they have confirmed that the figure in the statement was him. I definetly feel that the statement was pre-recorded though.....

I think it was obviously a fake and that Iraq is trying to mock us with "oh, you'll never catch him, look at all the doubles he's got."
