Oh here we go... This boat usually turns up a lot of heated debate. The sad thing is that the last real heated debate involved a douche of a salesman thinking way too highly of his boat. I haven't been on one before, but have talked to a few people that have ridden behind them and had nothing but good things to say about them. It seems to me that the people who actually give the boat a chance usually end up liking it a lot. Go test drive one, ride behind it, compare it to a few other boats and make your own decision.
Just so you know, we had a regal 2100lsr and absolutely loved it. It was pretty bad for wakeboarding, but as far as construction and quality of the company, I speak very highly of them. _________________ Weight it, Gas it, Crank it, and just rip. |

| Regal quality, v-drive, tower, bimini, auto ballast, stereo, 69 hours, 2-years-old, $25K? Sounds like a great deal regardless of the goofy tower and funny layout. I've heard they have good wakes too. |

I suspect that the formation of a seperate "Session" company and the break from Regal is probably on paper only to give the boat more of a "core wakeboard" vibe and less of a runabout vibe.
I wish I could see one, I'm very curious and interested in checking them out. _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |

So I actually own the first year model of the Session, so I'll give you some firsthand info, as opposed to biased views from MC salesmen or Regal salesmen.
Lets start with the good shall we:
-I think the boat has a great and unique layout, the stadium style seating is tight cause it has all the passengers facing the rider. The two far rear seats provide a totally different and pretty fun place to ride.
-Every rider I have brought on the boat were all skeptics but after riding on it, they loved it. They all had diff boats Calabria, malibu, mastercraft, it didn't matter they loved the ride.
-The boat is 22 feet long and weights a hell of a lot, it has four factory ballast tanks (2 rear, 1 mid, 1 front), and it holds 10 people. Bottom line is, this thing can throw up a great wake, I don't care if anyone tries to deny this because they're wrong, with all the tanks filled and only a few people in the boat, the wake is huge, I've only had 2 riders who wanted the ballasts filled and they went bigger than I had seen them go in their calabrias and x-stars.
-The TV and surround sound sterio system is excellent. There's been countless nights where we just hung out in the boat, drank beers, and watched movies. Its just a tight place to hang out, you can hook up ps2 or watch dvds in the dvd player. The sound system is excellent especially if you get the stereo package.
-The boat is made for wakeboarding end of story, theres just a bunch of little details all geared towards the rider such as the rear seat and board holder at the rear of the boat.
I'm not going to try and hide any of the problems with the boat so here's some of the cons of the boat:
-Its a first year model, they changed a ton of things on it right away, some of which I agree with, some of which I think was better left alone.
-First of all, this boat is by no means economically prices, its f*ing expensive. I think ours worked out to be 53k . This is about the time when all the 13 yr olds are going to call me a rich boy and then go ride in the their x-stars with mommy and daddy, spare me. I no longer own any stock and wont be getting a new car anytime soon don't worry. The boat was a huge investment for my family, but I don't regret it at all.
-The boat is 22 feet long and heavy as hell, its turning radius is nowhere near that of a smaller boat and its difficult to steer at low speeds. This makes docking a stressful, tricky, and sometimes amusing event each and every day. By the way Wakesetter789 , the boat has never come close to flipping over, that was a bs story.
-We had some early electrical problems, there's so many gizmos and wires running through the boat, we ended up having to get a new dvd player and fix some ballast switches.
-The sheriffs pulled us over when they saw people sitting the rear back seats thinking they were just sitting on the swim deck, they realized their mistake and let us go, luckily before seeing our rider wasn't in a uscg approved vest which had earned us a 250 dollar ticket the month before .
-The session also chugs gas like a college rugby player at keg party. Gas isnt cheap in California thats for damn sure, and filling this thing up with gas usually costs between 80-100 dollars.
Overall this boat has provided a ton of good times and good memories, we might try and trade it in and get a malibu, but if we dont, it wont matter, this boat has shown that it can compete with any other boat mfg, hands down. I'm not saying its better, I'm just saying it deserves some respect. Go ahead and ride in one and youll see what i mean.

| sounds good the mastercraft sales guy is a good friend of my dad, he works in his office also, the boat is exactly like yoursSMCboarder, looks like it will chug gas like HELL, but this one is only 24k,9, i think its a hell of a deal, but it has no TV or DVD player..which i have no problem with cuz ill be behind it 80% of the time..but yeah keep the info comin..also how would this go against a 00 pro air nauty..21 ft. |

I've been pestering the local dealer to give me one for a day so that I could get a feel for it. Even though we have a Launch, I still want to check out the wake on them. I haven't heard one bad thing about the wake from anyone who's ridden behind it, and the general consensus is that it could compete with the wakes of the top three anyday. I'm real curious. _________________ Weight it, Gas it, Crank it, and just rip. |
