About this time last year, I was spending every waking moment on boattrader.com looking over dealer inventory and going back and forth to the MC dealership. Knew I wanted a boat, knew I had to have one...
This year different story.......
Thinking fat sacks, props, tower speakers, waxing, impeller...... Funny how much a year will change things. (& how much I miss my boat!)
What is everybody doing / upgrading before this years season?

Yeah I am where you were this time last year. Spending a lot of time on boattrader.com and other boat sale sites.
Last year I was trying to figure out how to fix the floorboard on my 2001. Yes in a year things change a lot. I also wasnt married and was thousands of dollars in credit card debt! Ha! |

im bored so i will respond out of pure anger. im replacing my black face with black bezel gauges for white face with chrome, some of the black ones were cracked but jackass at the dealership has turned my one day project into a month project because he won't send me my stuff, first it was his house got broke into, now he claims the boat show has had him to busy, who knows what the next will be. all i know is my boats dash had been lookin like a whale screwed it in six different spots while it is awaiting its new buddies. plus i left the cover off of it so it is dusty |

Here is what I am doing different this year......
Starting with Monster Tower, Sacks (440twins and a 560 front sack) , Rule 3700gph pump, tower board racks, I think thats it......
Now I have to start de-winterizing the MC. So in the next few weeks I plan on a complete wax/cleaning job, oil change, fule filter change, impeller change, new battery.....I better get busy. I didnt realize there was so much to do until I just posted all of this....
Maybe I can get friends to help? Any takers?

| Last year at this time I was installing a BigAir tower onto my Bayliner, along with a built-in ballast system. This year I have a different boat (an older DD Malibu) to which I have since added a tower, ballast system, new prop, stereo, tower Evids, and a bunch of other little things. I am looking forward this year to minimal boat projects and instead enjoying that time on the water! |

This time last year I was rounding up lead from tire shops, and trying to figure out the best way to get the wake on my 18' I/o better without losing too much space. This year I am going out of my mind waiting for April to get here so I can get the first look at my new '05 Sky Supreme V220. Once it gets here I'll have some projects to take care of to get her the way I want. _________________ "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." - Benjamin Franklin

MadDog, Thats definately different from last year. Who makes the Sky Supreme? I am sure as soon as you get her home you will have a lot of customizing to start on. Are you adding anything aftermarket ?>stereo, ballast, etc..?

Ski supreme is the manufacturer, Sky Supreme is the wakeboard model (ballast tower, etc.) I will be adding tower speaker, subs, maybe xm radio, maybe a light bar, customizing (adding to) the ballast, and probably doing a few custom things with the interior. That is if I don't just spend all my free time on the water _________________ "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." - Benjamin Franklin

MadDog, I have XM on the boat and use it occasionally. It is really good for me because we cant pick up ANY radio stations on the lake. It is convenient with all of the Classic Rap stations that get the girls up and dancin...Plus we link a few boats together and play the same stations. If I were doing it over I would go with the I-pod instead of xm, but now we have both....
So many gadgets, so little time....and money!
