I just got an external hd case and just got a maxtor hd today, I installed everything as instructed and it worked fine on my work pc, however when I get home and plug it in windows finds the device it shows up in device manager and then a window comes up saying there was a problem during the installation and terminates installation.

WTF is going on ?????

Any input appreciated
