My favorite bumper sticker right now is the one that says 'First Iraq, then France.'
"The French announced today that they would not help us remove Saddam from Iraq. Well Duh! They didn't even help us remove Hitler from France."
-Jay Leno
"France said this week they need more evidence to convince them Saddam is a threat. Yeah, last time France asked for more evidence it came rolling thru Paris with a German Flag on it."
-Dave Letterman
Why are all the highways in France lined with trees?
So the Germans can march in the shade!!!
Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without an accordion. All you do is leave behind a lot of noisy baggage.
- unknown
France has neither winter, nor summer, nor morals. France is miserable because it is filled with Frenchmen, and Frenchmen are miserable because they live in France.
-Mark Twain
Only thing worse than a Frenchman is a Frenchman who lives in Canada.
-Ted Nugent,Honorary Canadian
The only way the French are going in with us is if we tell them we found truffles in Iraq.
War without France would be like ... uh ... World War II
What do you call 100,000 Frenchmen with their hands up? Their Army
Q. How many Frenchman does it take to defend Paris.
A. We don't know, it's never been tried.
The best French bashing line heard over the last week is: "We can count on the French to be there when they need us."
French weapons for sale: Perfect condition. Never used. Only dropped twice in last century. First 10 callers get free white flag and croissant.

HAHAHAHAHAHA...... I love those, nothing better than some good old french bashing. Even in peace time I don't think I would ever get tired of it.

Alter I think pretty much everyone wants to avoid war, but sometimes it becomes necessary. Something needs to be done about Saddam, and 12 years of diplomacy hasn't worked. That is just my biased opinion. Aren't all opinions biased?

absolutely all opinions are biased....i guess i just didnt want any stupid comments....
anyways, French trade with Iraq????? thats a first. i consider myself pretty educated and I have not even heard anything about that. Also to suggest that France is selling nuclear capabilities to Iraq is also pretty out there. Why would the neighbour of Britain do that? especially since britain is the ONLY country willing to support the US.
France is not the only country not participating in a US attack....

Funny you say that Grouch. The CNN new ticker just said that an American D-Day vet sent back a medal the French awarded him because of the French governments lack of support right now.
As for the French selling nuclear reactors... I respect the fact you are an educated individual but my college professor has a PHD in International Relations. I think he's well versed in the subject. I also read a book last semester that also claims that the French sold Iraq a nuclear reactor. This book is written by the former head of Iraqi Nuclear Development right after he defected to the United States. The book is called Saddam's Bombmaker by Khidhir Hamza. <~ This book will also help you see why we should stop Saddam.

The book I posted about is a more recent account of the Iraqi Nuclear Program.
Alter Ego- There are more countries joining what you would say is a solely American and British, even though the Australians, and others have sent troops.
Here's a list of Allies from a report I just found at http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/abs_news_body.asp?section=National&oid=18614
The 30 countries listed were Afghanistan, Albania, Australia, Azerbaijan, Britain, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, El Salvador, Eritrea, Estonia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Japan (for post-conflict only), Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Philippines, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
There are also Allies who wish to remain unnamed...
