| I am going to get myself a new wakeboard this x-mas, but am really lost as to what I should be looking for. I went boarding for the first time this summer and really only got up once and that was it. I am wondering what kind of board I should be looking for. I am 5-10 and around 200. I want something that is going to be easy to ride for now, I can always upgrade some other time. Plus I'm sure ther wil be other first timers trying to use this board. |

I second the EVO... I've been a waterskier for years and finally am getting into wakeboarding a little more since getting a better boat. I've been doing a lot of research, reading reviews and posts. I haven't actually test-ridden anything, but from what i hear, the evo is a good board for the money that's gonna be good for beginners but also have potential for intermediate and possible better riders.
I think i'm gonna buy myself an LF Evo and Element setup from Wakeside for Christmas... got some points hanging out waiting to be spent. |

not to disrespect, but that's a typical newbie response. there are so many other board companies out there that make good boards.
the best thing to do is to go to your local shop and demo as many boards as possible. a good shop will take the money spent on board demos and will apply them towards a purchase of a new one. _________________ my demo reel

| I went to the local scheels sporting goods store this weekend to see if they had anything lefet around from this summer, and I noticed a hyperlite movement 140 that they had on sale still with bindings for around 170. Would this board work for me?? |

Can you tell us something more about the bindings?
The boarsize is good for you (go with +139). I never rode the board, but I think you cannot go wrong with the board. |

| the bindings were hyperlite vario's. Not sure if the are good or bad, it just seemed to be a good sale for the combo. but then again, I don't know anything either!! |

shanemuller@yahoo.com, I say 138 to 143 min to max, if you want a pretty nice board, but dont want a cheesy board, and aren't looking to blow alot of cash check out www.wiredsport.com, they have some nice gator boards(just as nice as LF CWB or Hype), for cheap, their binding selection isn't all that great, but buywake has a lot of last years bindings(good stuff, just not the latest greatest) on close out... just a thought _________________ TEAM PIRATE, AAAARRRGGGHHH YOU READY?
