Fast and the Furious/Point Break

Hey, I was watching the Fast and the Furious and noticed this is Point Break!!! Instead of Keanu Reeves and Johnny Utah, we have Paul Walker and Brian O'Connor. Instead of the charismatic yogi surfer guy Bodhi, we have the charismatic street car racer Dom. Instead of surf boards, we've got race cars. But the setup is the same: young agent must go undercover into a gang to find out who has been pulling the recent waive of robberies. But when he gets in with the gang, bonds with the leader guy and falls for the girl, will he have the heart to turn them in? I just thought i would tell you guys.

Nice observation... Keanu is like the greatest actor/musician of all time... j/k I can't stand him.

I agree NorCal... he doesn't put any emotion into his work. He's a HORRIBLE actor and I have no idea why he is as well known and respected as he has become.

Fast and The Furious.....Gooood movie, awsome ending. Nothing like hot guys and fast cars lol.

I thought Keanu Reeves played the Neo role well in the Matrix. I think he was the kind of actor that role needed.

I don't get it, he was an idiot in The Matrix, the movie is great in every way other than Neo. I think there are alot of other actors who would have done the role more justice

Seriously though, it is EXACTLY the same movie! Even the end is similar, except the theif-but-still-hero doesn't die in F & F.

Fast and the furious was an all around terrible movie, bad acting, cheesy lines, extremely stupid story (why the hell would you highjack a truck like that?).

Yeah both movies kind of followed the same generic template but Point Break had more substance to it and was by far a better movie in terms of acting, storyline,
filming etc. etc.

the reason keanu was so great in matrix is because his character required no emotions!!! the matrix reloaded is gunna be sick.. i've seen a couple previews of the fight scenes and it looks badass. but this'll b interesting

as for keanu, i cant really say, i think hes good in The Matrix. but ive never really seen any other movies of his because they all seem to be movie genres i cant stand. only 1 i remember him from was speed...and that was an ok movie, too boring at points. Razz

But, hey keanu was pretty good in point break. But like alot of you guys i don't like any other movies just because i don't like the kind of movies hes in. Besides the Matrix. I also agree with aubs about he seemed bad in the matrix because he didn't have any emotion, but he wasn't soposed to have any emotion.

Gunther that is one funny synopsis.

And both stories cut off before you find out whether the good cop turned cool player that knows the street game ends up doing 10-15 for a rack of felony charges brought on by the mean cop that he mixed words with the whole movie and finally hit in the face at the end. Or was that part from some other cheesy movie?
