just thought of something when buying stuff for fiberglassing

have any of you thoguht of using two part foam for your floats

it is a two part chemical, you mix them, and voila, the liquids turn into a carvable foam 20 times its size, its pretty cool stuff and i just thought of what a great product it would be for making sliders

You cuold go to your local car wash and get big 55gallon drums/barrels for free. Go to like the big car wash place not the gas station one and ask if you could have a few of them. They'll give them to you because they have to pay to have them taken away so....

karkid, that could be a great idea, since its pourable you could just pour it into the slider so its all even and stuff. Only problem is that its much more expensive than what most people do with the big drums from the good ole car wash..

That idea is simply brilliant. I had actually thought about it but i didn't think if could be used for floating. But hey if you guys say it works then i'm down cause that is hellovalot cheaper than what i used. How many pounds can 1 ft^3 of this stuff soundly hold.
