| Hazza- I have seen a few Aussies on here. Where in AUS are you? I've been looking at playing professional waterpolo in the Leagues down there. You know anything about that? I have some contacts from a few friends that played last year so??? Might make for a fun Dec-May.

Kiwi in the house!
I think Wake.co.nz is the site PJdave is talking about, it has a Ausy & Kiwi section, it's been up for about a year.

Nah not any of those sites. Wakeboarding.com.au is just a site for the Australian pro tour and wake .co.nz is a kiwi site. The other site should be online during the year ready for the next season.

yeh another aussie here, i ride behind a 18ft ski/wake boat. its got a high pole and bimini and 330hp. haha board....... a juvi 131 from like 1999 and a pair of green ultras, they get the job done.
cm you should try to get a inboard, 15000 would get u a decent inboard ski boat. i've heard bayliners dont have the greatest wake, but nor does my boat.

Yeah, another aussie here
Hazza, don't complain too much about prices, coz a 'Bu out here costs $60k AU, whereas in the US, costs $42k US, so we get bargains. An the good times last all year! Not just summer!
C-Minded, from the looks of that boat the boat looks similar to one i rode behind not too long ago, the wake is pretty bloody good, but inboards handle better (i think) than sterndrives (I/O's) (but at that price, its a pretty sweet deal).
On another note Josh, have you heard anythin about Mastercraft coming to Oz, Coz my dad heard about it an is interested in getting one! So any ifo u may have heard would be welcomed!

yeh cminded my comment isn't that good, i haven't actually ridden behind one, but i have ridden behind outboards, and they tend to have a wake that gets washed out on one side, i'm guessing the leg prop thing would do the same.
jazz is right bout us getting the cheaper bu's and centurions, but i dunno bout nautis.
jazz i haven't heard anything bout mastercraft coming out here, probly would make the competition and prices better between the companies, instead of malibu having the monopoly (its just been broken by centurion up here tho)

Hehe, wait till next year. Once Naut's are built in Brisbane the prices will come down, and hopefully they can crack the Malibu market. A Super Air Team Edition costs $91,702 AU imported from the US at the moment...
I'm not a fan of all the brainwashed people in Australia thinking the Wakesetter is the greatest boat ever made...
I was talking to a guy with industry connections a few days ago, and we talked about Mastercraft importing into Australia. He hadn't heard anything, and I think he said it would be kinda doubtful that anything more than privetly imported X5's would be coming for a while. (I'm not 100% on that info, we were pretty pissed at the time)
I wish they would start something down here, I'm a big fan of the MC boats...

We were looking at Nauti's but it is very likely that the manufacturing will have some inherent initial problems, especially noting the company they are contracted to.
I'm totally in agreement with you Josh, all i really hear when i speak to people around here is Wakesetter this, Wakesetter that, and the Malibu dealer up here is well, yeah, far from enterprising, maybe things will change with some competition. Centurion have been doing a great job, especially in Sydney.
Apparently a company in Melbourne, i cant remember who (damn alcoholism ruins my memory) was going to directly import MC's, cost somewhere around the $80k-$90k+ mark, expensive, but this guy was saying resale will be better with imports. I dunno, i just gotta get a tourney tow boat this winter!

nautiques are on track for building boats in Australia with a well know quality boat builder. malibu started by finding a good ausie boat builder and then renaming them after the product was proven.

aussie_stu, Really, I kindof doubt that rumor! I will have to ask some of my blokes at MC if that is a possibility.
Oh-Thanks Aussies for helping in IRAQ! I just saw where Australia is sending up 20,000 troops! If any of you guys know any troops-tell them a fellow Wakeboarder from the US appreciates them!

lakecarver911 all you can do is try, just play around with some wieght in the boat, and placement of the wieght in the boat and see what happens, just don't sink it
