I just got Detention Vol. 1 & 2 for christmas and i can't stop watching it. It has to be the best instructional video ever made for wakeboarding.

Anyone check out the Book yet? That looks like it'd be SICK. A little pricey, but seems like it is well worth the price.

I just ordered it myself, anxious to check it out. I own Detention V's 1 & 2, Higher Education, as well as WakeTrix....all are very informative, but dont go into the specific detail I thought they would. I hope the Book changes that!

wakeboardwillis, check out the trailers on that site garveyj said, they make the book look like a really great dvd.

Yeah, The Book is great. Very instructional - not horribly entertaining (although it has its moments - especially the different outtakes and crash footage at the end of each DVD). No one teaches like The Wakeboard Camp and Kyle...I consider myself an intermediate rider and I saw a few things that I can't wait to experiment with this spring. The Book is great b/c it teaches you the steps to each trick and then it strings them together. Walk before you run grasshopper!

So, out of Detention, Higher Education, WakeTrix and The Book I find:
Detention to be most entertaining
Higher Ed to be most visually pleasing and diverse but compact - a lot in just a little time
Wake Trix - mechanical but a very consistent methodology and the guest coach sections help to hear it explained a different way
The Book - extremelly comprehensive and a nice progression of instruction.

**If nothing else get the first The Book DVD for all of your friends that want to wakeboard. It has a great section about how to be a good third, talks a lot about boat driving, ownership, etc and has a great part about pitching in for gas Smile
