Russian, I have never dealt with them personally, I looked at what they have and it doesn't say if it has the USA warranty, something you may want to look into a bit more. I have dealt with Adorama and B&H Photo video, both are very reputable. Adorama has the USA model for $1099, it would be worth the extra $100 for the warranty
http://www.adorama.com/ICA10D.html and they have a good BBB record http://www.bbbnewyork.org/businessreports/Default.aspx?id=2477
Also the 10D was discontinued so prices may be changing on them in the next few months, something else you may want to think about.
*EDIT* It doesn't look good for broadway photo, here's an online review
http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1995.html Seems like they are pretty shady. _________________

jryoung, thanks. I looked at adorama also. Figured I could use the extra hundred for a 1gig card. I looked at the reseller site and saw those reviews, but I trust the people on here, and was hoping I could some info.
I'm also considering waiting and saving for the 20d so who knows.....

If they don't gouge you on the freight or make you buy a "package" you'll probably be OK. The few times I've tried to buy from them there was always a catch. If you order off their website and they tell you to call in because there's a problem you'll probably get the bait and switch then. It's usually that they are out of stock on the base item but do have a "package" available where you'll end up paying more.
There are a bunch of used 10D's on the market right now have you thought about going that route? _________________ Rich Dykmans |

RD, I have thought about used. But I'm a little scared to shell out a ton of money for something thats used and not be able see if it works beforehand _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com

There is a risk for sure so there's always a tradeoff. If you can find a used one on say Ebay that's still under warranty from someone that has good feedback you can probably get a good one. I bought my 1D used off ebay and it still had 6 months warranty on it. The guy advertised it as pristine and it looked new when I got it. Sometimes people buy extended warranties for them also. If you're real serious about shooting sports you'll outgrow the 10d (or Rebel) very quickly (as Bill J will attest to). Even the 20D can't touch a 1 series body for focus speed and fps but it's way better than the Rebel/10D. I think more used 20D's will start hitting the market soon too as many are finding they still really want the speed of the 1DmkII. Used 1D's are selling down around $1800 so there are some 20D users migrating back to those also. Have you thought about the Rebel as a stop gap until you can get something better? I see the 10D being stuck in a bad spot value wise when you look at the options out there. The 60d is actually selling for more used at times than the 10d because of it's picture quality. _________________ Rich Dykmans |

MattyBoyR6, thanks.
At this point I think I'm going to spend the extra $ money and get the 20d. I found a new/usa one on ebay last week for about $1350, no tax and free shipping on buy it now _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com

I seen an add in a magazine for the 20D for under a grand. I didnt even bother looking it up...
I would like to get one, but you will still need a couple hundred dollars to get started with a lense(unless you have some older ones). _________________

I have lenses, although they arent the best. The only thing I will need is a 1gig CF2 card. But I already have a 256 so the new card won't be neccesery for me to atleast take a few pics untill I get the better card _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com
