hyperlyte,

Its a really good skate to learn on. Not sure if heigth really matters. Mostly depends on weight. Most people ride 40-42 inch, but if your over 160 i would go with a 43. (i think a 43 and a 116 is the same).

After riding for a while you will want to step up to a concave though. Check out integrity wakeskates.

hyperlyte - I'm 6 foot almost 6'1 and I bought a Hyperlite scape 116 as my first board as well. I'm not sure if height is the issue as much as weight is. I weight 180 and the board works fine for me. Its a good starter board, you learn the basics, but when you are ready to progress, you might want to get a new board, something with grip tape instead of foam if you want more traction, maybe something like a cassette 4-trac, the scape is however definitely a starter board, and its pretty damn cheap compared to other board. Have fun!

Yeah you can buy about any wakeskate in that price range. You might want to just demo some of the skates there if you are going to a wakeboard shop.

for 200-300 you could get anyboard you want and dont get grip there isnt as much traction as a foam, plus if you get foam you wont mess up your shoes

Grip has way more traction than foam. There's no better concave than the new cassette line (especially the horrell concave), so if you want a really good ride that will last, go with cassette.

ReiDnes02, thats kind of the parks wakeboard theory isnt it? Just playing with you Smile

hyperlyte, i haven't rode one of the catalyst series skates yet, but from what i hear its a pretty good skate. Definatly better than your scape.
