yah i used premire back in the day when i was "editing" video clips i got off the internet on the family pc, i was introduced to Media 100 in 11th grade, and took some courses and stuff and thats what i perfer to use now. Final Cut is also pretty good. Premier is strictly PC now. they quit releasing it for mac. _________________

Premier is the WORST out of all video editing programs out there...beisides all the like little ones you can buy from walmart..like video vegas and stuff. i cannot stand using premeir. its horrible. if you have a pc. and dont want to get a mac, or dont want to pay for another computer, get Avid ..its the best PC editing program.
I like Final cut for small projects that i will be working on for a day or two. but for larger projects or stuff that i am really putting time into i use media 100. I like the organisation system it uses. and its a much more reliable program..plus its all realtime. and runs on its own PCI card. final cut is a good program also. but i dont use all the little effects, because u can just do all of that in after effects and have way more controll over the outcome. i used to have After Effects ICE...but they dident make a update for OSX for the PCI card > it was amazing...the ICE card was a PCI card with 4 processors on it, every effect in realtime except for a few crazy ones that renderd super fast anyway. I have AE 6 right now. i need to get the 6.5 upgrade cause it is designed to run with the dual g5 processors...I tested the demo out on my computer...i renderd 1 video layer, 1 light layer, and 4 3d moving text layers in realtime.

JamesWatts, thats really tight. Well premier is the best i have. I have been into making videos for about two years now. At first, i started messing aroung with Pinacle and Videowave on my moms computer which were really not good at all. But i got a burned copy of premier 6.5 from my friend last year so i started using that. with pinacle and video wave being my only background i think premier is pretty good and im going to start using after effects soon which will be really good. But what i was wondering is how much do final cut or media 100 go for? _________________
