I am in the process of building a garage and my boat is still in winter storage about 50 minutes away. I was hoping some one could help me out with the total height of the boat from ground + boat + tower.

My Malibu Sunsetter VLX with a Skylon tower is 10 feet from the floor to the top of the tower. I'd try to go a bit higher than what you think you need, just incase you ever change boats... (12 or so feet should handle any boat/tower combination)

I think that it includes the trailer... but mkcarte2 you might be right... so add 1.5 or so feet to what I said before...

I know that from the floor to the top of the windshield (including the trailer) is total of 6 1/2 feet because if I take the tower off I can clear the boat into the garage, but just barely... I can't remember how much taller the tower is from the top of my windshield, but 4 to 5 feet sounds correct.... Remember tho, the malibus aren't very "tall" boats...
A SAN is much taller when on the trailer.

Thanks guys-sorry, I forgot to say what boat I had. I have a '02 Wakesetter with the Skylon tower. Yeah, the tower is very tall. I think it is around 7' from the floor of the boat. I was thinking around 10-12'.

Bo Coppinger, I had a few small warranty issues to finish up! Yeah-it is really nice out there today. My digital thermometer is up to 75 right now! But, I am in the process of cleaning up my fish n ski. I will probably hit the lake with it for a couple of weeks!

Hey Keep in mind that the Boat trailor will make the height vary.
There are lots of different Boat trailor mfgs and they don't always make them the same height. So allow for 0-8" difference's I would presonally make the raod trip and measure to confirm the height.

tc, Yeah-I am going over there this weekend. I was just trying to troubleshoot some ideas for my garage doors. It seems that I will have to drop the tower every time I put it in the garage. So, I will probably ad a carport on one side of the garage to use on nights that I will be going out the next day and garage it during the week and winters.
Thanks All!
